This content is educational. I used to teach elementary school in Denpasar for 3 years, every Galungan I was invited to the house of Balinese friends to eat fruit. Balinese people are very welcoming and friendly.

oh that sounds like a wonderful experience, teaching elementary sch in Denpasar. Thats an interesting area too i think we're planning to spend a bit more time down there exploring. There's this colonial-style avenue that impressed us a lot when we drove by one time....

Yes, not all of area in Bali have Barong. They usually perform when there is Piodalan (big commemoration) at the temple. But you can also watch Barong dance as a tourist performance, especially at gianyar area.
