Hi everyone! Today's video is different for obvious reasons. It's not my usual Work Week in my Life because the Coronavirus has rapidly changed the world especially in the last weeks and I wanted to share how life has been lately! I think now is as important time as ever to make every effort to prevent the spread of the virus and I've left some links below to find out more: www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019 www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html I encourage you guys to follow prevention methods (such as social distancing, washing hands, etc.) and also to not panic (i.e hoarding thousands of toilet paper rolls) but just stay informed and as safe as possible. I'm using this extra time at home to do at-home workouts, self care (literally painted my nails 5 minutes ago!), cook with my boyfriend, read, facetime friends and family, and apply to grad school! We will get through this and please know that I'm sending love to all of you!

On the ECTS credits - you can try to ask for a workaround to somehow get the credits in another way or prove that you do have them to some extent. I‘ve done this in the past and it worked ☺️

thank you!! I’ll try this!!

@@lifewithkatie I have talked to the Mannhein University and to ESMT in Berlin, and both have told me I can do some kind of credit worth activity to earn the missing ones. At the HHL (Leipzig) they also have a option to extend your credits beyond the standard ones you get from the course. I'm studying for the GMAT right now. Could you do a video on how you've prepared yourself for it? I'ven seen you got 650, and that's also what I'm aiming for. I'm from Brazil applying to Germany, by the way :)

Hi Katie. Many of the students who do not fulfill the ECTS requirements take some supplementary courses over the summer/spring semester. A non-EU needs to take those courses at least one year prior to the start of the semester. Europeans can just simply fulfill the ECTS requirements over a summer course before the autumn semester. But for Non EU it is more tricky :/

The last five days since your upload of this video have been a rollercoaster ride of emotions, news, and government activity. Stay safe and healthy. BTW: Lieferando had a DDOS attack sometime in the last days which crashed their server for the whole of Germany.

In Sweden the shelves in food stores are almost empty and people are crazy about hand sanitisers and toiletpaper. For some reasons all toiletpapers are out and I don't even know why lol. We don't even actually need to buy so much but people are scared and anxious. Swedes are going insane right now.

I really was waiting for your next upload. You are in different country and have just started your new job, so, being somehow restricted because of the virus is unexpected, sudden and frustrating. But, in general, i hope we all stay safe and i hope, also, that the infected people will get healed and survive from the virus. 💖💖

Sorry to hear about Copenhagen! Could you call them and ask if you can do an extra course there or in Germany to make up the credit? I have friends from non-EU countries in Scandinavia who have managed to find a way around similar situations :) All the best and stay safe!

About the ECTS, when I was in university there was some issue with credits I had gotten in Brussels and I was able to work out a solution with my department head. Definitely talk to them! They can only say no, lol.

Maybe you can do pre-courses at the University of Cologne to get the rest of the credit points that you need! I'm pretty sure that is possible, I also go to the University of Cologne and I have heard about this before, you only have to finish the courses in a certain period of time before or also during your studies and when you are done you have to go the "Prüfungsamt" so that they know that you have now completed all the requirements and then you should have no problems to attend the uni and get a degree from there! I would suggest emailing the head of the department that you want to study in, maybe they can help and tell you what to do :)

I think in the next couple of days our government in Germany will decide if we are allowed to move freely or have to stay inside. in cologne, everyone is outside. as much as i wish those measures won't be taken its definitely an option and will help to keep the virus from spreading further. please stay safe and indoors as much as possible. ❤️

when healthcare providers run out of ventilators for everyone getting sick from this you're gonna wish you hadn't said that. people don't need to panic and panic buy out everything for at risk people like the elderly but young people going out everynight to bars and clubs isn't helping.
