Young people say "catch feelings" and what I find remarkable is how difficult it seems to be today for love to be mutual. I see a lot of unrequited, lopsided love. Quite the mystery.

Unrequited love. I had a biology teacher in high school. He had some level of PTSD from being held in a Japanese POW camp for two years. He once said, in a moment of dark reverie, that one of the truths he learned in the camp was that the two worst things in the world are boredom and unrequited love. At 17, one doesn't appreciate the depth and breadth of damage unrequited love can cause. After much observation, it is truly staggering.

Thank you for bringing back a happy memory. When I was young I blossomed in love with a beautiful lady. As the relationship developed we found ourselves in bed undergoing horizontal refreshment. During the procedure she started shaking uncontrollably and her eyes rolled. My ego 'told' me I must be a superstud. Next morning I whispered lovingly in her ear, "you enjoyed yourself last night." Her reply was, "I don't remember much about it. "I should have told you I have epilepsy but I was afraid I would lose you." As I stifled my laughter, I realised I now loved her even more." If you can't laugh when you're in love, you're not really in love!!!! Thanks again.

Everyone is so fixated of there past memories to be able to comprehend the going on of now. Life is so hard to understand but in the end the goal of life is to live. I am married to such an amazing soul and I love her so dearly, HOWEVER as you know the heart wants what it wants and you have no control. I'm not talking about lust, I'm talking about truly seeing someone and for absolutely no reason fall so deeply and madly in love with them. I am I falling madly in love with a dear friend, and even though I'm married, for the first time in my life, I think for the first time with another woman I am truly falling in love. I feel so lost, as in I feel my feelings are betraying my wife, however love is all that matters so I feel pulled 2 different ways and it's breaking my heart and I don't know what to do. I'm trusting in myself to make the best decision for myself, even if it feels like it will kill me.

The change in vision occurs in deep dark dungeons where you are disappointed with people but primarily yourself... and after encountering it is a journey....whenever you fall back into your old self...you are brought back to it ... for a deeper look....there is simply no turning back to your previous self... your perceptions of people your value system changes... from being materialistic to starting abhoring materialistic and superficial, you will gladly sit in the feet of a parent or grandparent who gives you shade and emanate energy that shows that they too figured it out...long time ago

i fell in love with a girl from high school her last name was Ben Sira. when i took mushrooms i felt whole like my heart was open. I've told my mom i am the Messiah.(i live in israel. it was back in 2012) she put me in a mental hospital . when i got out I've looked online and there was a Jesus named Ben Sira who lived in Jerusalem .

I agree with this vision, the thing is: if you expect to have children you need to do your parent role. Children need stability and some routine. Me and my girlfriend split up and the love was lopsided and I felt it and I'm hurt by it, but I'm glad about it because she's working on herself, something she's never really done for herself, I wish we stayed together, but that wouldn't have been right for either of us, it would stay lopsided, but I need to work on myself and figure out my life goals as well, I want us to love each other again and I accept I can't control it, i just want to stay friends

I fall in love with someone in my head, i never meet her, i never know her, but don't know why everytime i think of her, i feel warm and happy, yet sometimes sad, and lonely, because i hide my feeling and never tell her, how i feel... It's hard when you have deep feeling over someone while you fighting your own battle with depression..... Best thing to do: learn to respect yourself. Because then it all comes to plan. When you respect yourself, you fight off depression, even co-exist it to be your friend. And when you fully respect yourself, you can easily love yourself. You can’t just “learn to love yourself” without learning to respect yourself first. At the end, what you set yourself and how you present yourself will be the result of what others will give you, and when you have gained that for you, then the right people come into your life. But don’t forget that life is precious as it’s a rarity of being human in this vast and endless universe. It’s beautiful, live it beautifully and live in your own terms and not others! Damn now idek if I wanna get married or get into a committed relationship. They both strain the spark that love brings. I will say in the event that one has an arranged marriage or open relationship, what if the person you’re in love with is married? Just bc you and your partner are open to that type of thing doesn’t mean that others are. Let’s face it the majority of society is religious and married for that reason alone. And then there’s the lust that comes with open relationships. The world is too distorted for this type of thing. In addition to that being a human is so confusing. Then when you bring children into it becomes even more confusing. When we’re sexually affectionate towards those we love the possibility of children is always on the rise. Our species is cooked. So is procreation really our problem? Bc I remember as a child you can be in love and not have to worry about these types of things. N I don’t want to confuse lust w love, but most times humans are aroused by those they’re in love with. This reality is INSANE
