Hi Angie:) I’ve commented on a few of your videos. I had commented on one of your vision videos a few months ago because I was in my early pregnancy and my vision improvement was halting and actually becoming worse. I had to go back two pairs of reduced lenses and I’m only just getting back to 20/20 in that lense. So, for anyone watching for vision improvement: for women working through it during pregnancy, take heart, your vision may fail a bit but it is possible to work through it and I hope post baby I’ll be back on track with my normal healing development. Oh Angie. I’ve so enjoyed your channel and I feel we have a bit in common. My heart breaks for you dealing with EDS. I watched your first video introducing it and my heart just felt heavy for you. We homeschool, this is my sixth pregnancy and we have a small farm. I have goats and I love milking them and love the healing it provides. So when you had mentioned not being able to milk your goats anymore, I just really felt for you. Besides that, it is even more heartbreaking not being able to care for one’s family the way you want to. 4.5 years ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Since then it has been a roller coaster for our family and I often feel guilty for what I have unintentionally put them through. I still have not received conventional treatment. We’ve been managing it naturally. But the research and time and money into it has (in my thinking) taken so much from my family. I have some fantastic days of healing but I do have days of sheer exhaustion due to everything going on in my thyroid. But. God is good. His grace and mercy are sufficient. Even when I don’t feel like I’m healing, I can’t imagine the healing He must be allowing to go on in my body. Since my diagnosis I’ve been able to carry two more babies and my tumors have not grown in two years. To me that is very encouraging. I do seem prone to infections and even with a simple cold I’ve gotten my family through, it has developed a bit of infection in me. I also have fluorosis, which wreaks havoc on my teeth and allows for more infections. Daily I’m searching for ways to heal. We eat one way for awhile then I realize I need to adjust this or that or change this supplement or that one or I realize Im reacting to something and need to change again. It can feel isolating. But I’m running across so many blogs and channels of others doing the same thing. It’s encouraging to me. And honestly, I think my kids and husband are better for this in many way. We never signed up for health problems;) who does, right?;) but the compassion it generates is such a gracious and lovely thing in this me centered world. My husband’s compassion and desire to help me is seen by my children and they in turn show compassion and generosity in our day to day living. On my good days they see me push myself for them and on my bad days they push themselves for me. It’s a good thing I think, for kids to grow up like this as apposed to life all about them. On top of that, because of my research I feed my kids very well, they are smart, well rounded, intuitive human beings and I can’t wait to see where they take that. So take heart. I know you’re aching to care for your family the way you want to as apposed to the way you need to due to your debilitating condition. Yours sounds far worse than mine and my heart just breaks for you. But your husband and kids are well cared for from the videos I’ve seen and they are learning too how to care for you. Your children will grow to be empathetic, compassionate and kind due to watching what their mother is going through and finding ways to help her. I know, it seems backwards. We should be caring for them. And we are. But I wonder today if our society has taken to putting kids first a bit too far and we are creating a generation of entitlement. I know you don’t want to be sick, but in many ways this is good for your family, even when it doesn’t feel good. Gods grace is sufficient and His goodness in our life doesn’t always feel good, but it is good and stretches into eternity. So keep working through this, keep your eyes on Jesus, keep pointing your kids toward Him. There can be pain and suffering with overwhelming joy and gratitude that fills a home and makes the best of homes. Blessings to you and your sweet family. Looking forward to more videos ❤️ PS I love your hair cut ☺️❤️

Ashley, sweet sister! This is perhaps the best thing I've read in a long, long time. Your words are like honey to my soul. Thank you so very much for taking the time to write them. You are so right, and I completely agree with all you said. Thank you for reminding me of so many good things. Thank you also for sharing what you're going through and how God has been faithful in your life as well. I am so blessed to have been able to connect with Christian brethren around the world through this channel and my Instagram. Technology and especially social media can be so detrimental, but it's also an opportunity to have a much greater sphere of influence. Particularly for someone who's mostly home-bound, I don't get a lot of ministry opportunities otherwise. God is growing this channel, for which I'm thankful, but it also makes it difficult to read and respond to many of the comments, since I get hundreds a day now. So if you'd like to connect on a more personal level, please come find me on Instagram or Facebook. I'd love to connect with you there! The links are in the video description. Praying you and your family have a blessed, peaceful, and joy-filled day! ❤️

I like your haircut. It looks very good on you as well. I'm your friendly retired optician that has been following with great interest in your quest to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses. Sorry to hear that your eyes have hit a plateau point at the moment but it makes sense because that happens when even loosing weight. Just the fact that sitting there now making this video and not wearing glasses is enough for you to be very happy about considering just a couple years ago you were wearing glasses full time and i'm sure felt completely dependent on your glasses to see hardly anything. Now you seem to mostly only wear your glasses when driving, and even for driving your eyesight doesn't seem to far away from being 20/40, so if you were to ever have to drive somewhere and didn't have your glasses with you i'm sure that you would be able to drive without glasses well enough. So when you're just wearing glasses because you want to and not because you need to what prescription are you wearing and when driving what prescription are you wearing for that? It's so much nicer that you're now wearing glasses more just because you want to then because you need to. I'm glad that you appreciate the fact that you look really good wearing glasses and that you should always keep that as one of your looks even if you get back to perfect vision.

Hey, I’m so glad you’ve made this video! I’ve been thinking about my holiday which my boyfriend and I have planned together, I don’t have to go on a plane or anything but I’ve really been considering cancelling due to my suspected EDs/POTs! I’m 25 and feel so weird being diagnosed and having this symptoms so late in life, but my doctor is certain this is what is happening. But you’re right, we still deserve to go out and enjoy the world and have fulfilled lives! Just because we can’t do it all doesn’t mean we can’t do some ☺️ Your hair looks great by the way, I did exactly the same, my hair was the same length as yours and I cut it just as short 😂 it feels great! It still hurts to dry and brush it but waaaaaay less than before! Sorry that you’ve had to go through the flooding, the stress of that must not be helping at all! I’m sorry if you have addressed this before, but have they figured out your EDs type yet? lastly, I love the shirt 😂 I’m wanting to start a KZbin channel soon, but I’m so scared about it! Thanks for sharing what you do, and keep on fighting fellow zebra ❤️

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! It is strange getting diagnosed later in life work something you've had since you were born, but don't feel bad, many people don't get diagnosed until their 50s. So I'm very thankful I found out now. 😊 I hope you're able to go on your vacation, use mobility aids if necessary, and have fun! And definitely start that KZbin channel! 😄

Oh, my shirts are from Chummy Tees on Etsy (the "My joints go out" shirt) and Grace and Brace on Etsy (the "Standing is my cardio" one). Also, two separate EDS specialists are 90% sure I have Classical EDS. I actually just got my genetic testing kit yesterday, so I will be finding out for sure in a couple weeks. 😊

Angie: Your request for comment on "alternative", method and success. 1) your reading 20/25 is incredible!. 2) do not rely on an OD. 3) Get your own test lenses. 4) with further success, you can help your children to avoid becoming negative - as refraction. ****** I am currently confirming 20/20, with my own test lenses, and Snellen with a 75 W bulb on it. I make no claim beyond 20/50, because i do not have to. I wrote a book for PILOTS, who do what I ask them to do. Which is wear a +2.5 D for all close work. THEY are successful - because it makes sense, and they do not quit. This is indeed in science if you look for it. I will forward this to my sister's 3 kids, now 50+ years, who had tge wisdom to "commit " to plus lens wearing through the college years. Angie - you are a great leader in this, and will learn more in the future years. Congratulations!

What is your exact diopter number of eyes? I want to ask you a question that when you were on vision improving program have you ever feel any sort of strain or stress in just single eye?
@AngelaHepp
@AngelaHepp 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, sometimes one eye will work harder than the other, or the ciliary spasm is releasing in one eye, and I feel a bit of a tingling/stinging sensation for a second before my vision clears up. Can i do active focus with contact lenses?
@AngelaHepp
@AngelaHepp 5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! My husband wears reduced prescription contracts and practices active focus with them. The only downside to this is that whenever you're looking up close (like your phone, computer, etc,) you're overcorrected. Be sure you're following Jake's specific instructions for properly reducing your lens power, as well. 😊
