Why I Left My 9-to-5 for KZbin / Life Updates ect #topictuesday
@JustinLamar2k6 ай бұрын
I connected with this. Been at my 9-5 for 10 years and want to replace that with KZbin. Only thing stopping me is me. Don’t focus on the end result, focus on your output. Consistency will get you to your goals.

Brother, thank you for sharing your wisdom. I love the vids you’ve been putting out as of late. The introspection. The goal setting. I’m in a similar place - turning 36 in November and been putting off losing 20 pounds - and this is just what I needed to hear. Excited to follow you on your journey. Keep leaning in, Mike 🧭

Hi - thanks for posting this! I think you’re wise beyond your 29 years. I would add a few things to consider- It’s not just being physically fit - gotta be mentally/emotionally fit. Therapy is really great for this - you don’t need to have a “thing” to ask for help. If you can get to a place for yourself where you don’t “need” anything (I’m not talking about material things), it’s just a much better way to live (I say that from my own experience). Stay humble, take responsibility, hold yourself accountable, live in the moment instead of always looking to the future, don’t beat yourself up if you don’t always feel accomplished - it’s ok. Learn from it and move forward knowing sometimes you move backwards to move forward. Life’s a journey - soak it in! :) Thanks again for your content

That analogy with you do whatever your boss asks/ teacher, but when you yourself wants to do something, you're lazy and procrastinate was gold man. I've been stuck in a 9-5 for the last 5 years, hate it, not enough money and the job itself sucks. I have a plan to change jobs and pursue an electrician's career, but have been putting it off. It's time to make a non negotiable contract with myself 🤝

Always enjoy these reflections from you, Mike. Whenever you do these topic videos I feel we’re on the same wave. I think an interesting topic would be how you’ve personally seen social media evolved over the years, since the newer/younger subs may not realize how different the landscape of content creation is now from the 2016-2019 era. Much love brotha be blessed! Edited addition: in terms of sneaker content, you could discuss the cyclical nature of the trends, cus I walked into a Nike outlet yesterday and it’s crazy that Jordan 1 High/Low are sitting full bin clearance again just as they where 8 years ago lol

Topic for Topic Tuesday: Advice to younger sneaker heads who are struggling with WANT, so like TikTok and social media making us feel like we NEED particular sneakers. @@ASneakerLifemy favorite right now is the Hoka skyward x - it's expensive but has all the tech and is super fun to run in. It's supportive, cushioned and bouncy - if you get this one you'll be hype to run in it everyday I promise hahaha. If you want something simple and lightweight that's good for treadmill, gym, walking the dog around the block etc check out the New Balance Rebel v4. Feels lower profile than some of the other shoes but is nice and bouncy, great for short and fast runs. And then if you just want the most comfortable shoe on the market get the New Balance 1080v13. It's like running or walking on a pillow. Hope this helps - lmk if you're looking for something in particular and I can hit you with more recs
