I am so sorry to hear Melanie passed away. I’ve watched her tutorials over the years as recommended by you. I’m thankful you all have been a support system for each-other. I can’t imagine going through this with my siblings but I understand how destructive and dark dying with cancer can be. We lost my sweet grandma to cancer and it was hard to remember the good times after seeing her deteriorate before our eyes. She will always have a special place in my heart.

As I was scanning for videos on making key fobs, one from Melanie popped up that was made 8 years ago. After watching the video I looked to see whether there were more recent videos that I might have missed, even as a subscriber. It was then I realized she hadn't been active on YT for months and months. I checked her website and found her post from last October in which she explained what has been happening. I then by chance checked once again the other channels she highlighted on her YT page, and yours was one... Thank you for this December note, which explains much I couldn't piece together from the other sources. Thank you also for subsequently posting the lyrics to your song...a touching message. My very best to you, your family, and especially to Melanie. Wish her much strength...

Rachel, I love your channel. My children are grown now (23 year old daughter and 29 year old son ) and I teach preschool. While my channel is where I show my doll collection, I love your channel and have followed you and supported you here for a long time. Rachel, I’ve been watching your videos for 9+ years! I feel like it’s a treasure and treat to see whatever you are creating and sharing. You are so inspiring and I’ve learned a lot from you. From planning for road trips, to yummy crock pot meals, to pamper routines, and essential oils, and now gardening! I feel like you are a sister in the Lord! I was so happy to see you post a video because I've watched you evolve and grow over the past 12 years. I am truly sorry that your sister-in-law is so sick. I am crying as I write this because I can so understand what your going through and it sucks! During the past 3 months I lost my mother-in-law, my beloved uncle, my cousin (his son) and 2 friends to cancer one after the other. I can understand how hard it must be for you and your family to find joy and put on a happy face. You take care of your family and I for one will be here when your ready. Prayers of healing for your sister in law. We just went through my father in law passing from pancreatic and lung cancer but he was elderly. It was 4 days after last Christmas and then this whole year has been moving and settling my mother in law who has dementia. Those kinds of health issues effect the entire family and it basically takes all your time and energy. Take the time you need. I look back now and I can’t believe we made it as a family through such a stressful time. I have chronic health issues and they all got put on the back burner. I am still playing catch up.

I am sitting here listening to your new song "Leaving on the Next Train". Incredible song. Today is my Pappy's birthday. If he was still living he would be 101. He died very suddenly in 1996. It was heartbreaking for me. He was my hero. I know I will see again someday. I can't wait. Like it says in your song "If I could see you, I'd be leaving on the next train." So many emotions watching this video. I used to follow your sisters channel when I tried to learn sewing, I still remember her crochet hat tutorial every time I see my unfinished craft. I will finish that hat! and start back up crotchet as a hobby this December and watch through her videos.
