Thank you for sharing this with us Jason. It takes a lot of courage to be so vulnerable. Just let Penelope's voice resonate in your in mind : "You still look like Dad" ... How true that is Jason. She will always love you, no matter what you look like. God bless you Jason :)

I tried lots of different products for alopecia. So far , argan life product is %100 natural one. It really works an it is the best for me. I used it with organic argan oil. I do not loose hair anymore and some new hair came out.

It's very sweet of your daughter to say, such beautiful innocent. I truly suggest that you look it up on KZbin...so many sufferers out there that are using natural products to assist. Don't give up! Either way, you are a super human with or without hair.

I agree you still look like you. Which is awesome. My wife owns a non toxic salon and has clients with different issues with their hair and they have fun doing different things with it. It helps them to make light of it.

Thanks for sharing Jason. Takes a lot of courage to do this. I dont have the nerve for it. Ive always been camera shy. I also have alopecia areata. Have had it for 3 years. It definitely has a mind of its own. It comes and goes in different degrees. Hair falls out a lot or falls out a little, or doesn't fall out at all and grows back. The hardest part of it is not knowing how it's going to progress from one day to the next. God bless you and stay positive.

Hey! I just recently started watching your vlog... it's been a blessing, thank you. I just wanted to mention something pertaining specifically to this particular video. I go to a smaller church in SW Mississippi. We have a friend, a man around 40, who has experienced the same thing as you more recently. It kind of just started happening out of the blue to his surprise, only his hair turned white in splotches first than fell out.. To get to my point, he started research using the internet, and after talking to a few people he came across, found away to beat it. He now has all his hair back and all back to the right color.. Of course he gives God all the glory for the healing, but he read about certain healthy things to take like probiotics, and Kefir among a few other things.. (I don't remember the name of one other specific thing he mentioned. .) I asked him about it last night after our church service. If you are interested in learning more, please let me know. I'm sure he would be glad to share what he knows about it with you.. Just thought I'd mention it, in case you were interested. Blessings to you and your family. (Matt. 6:33 KJV)

Hello Autumn Gaharan! I have done a lot off and on my whole life trying to figure it out. I became tired of it all and am just leaving it be. We eat really clean and foods for that gut health. I do appreciate you letting me know! Thanks for following along!

I just got diagnosed with alopecia areata and I've been feeling really anxious and depressed. It funny how people say its just hair to us that are affected by alopecia its not just hair, its part of our identity.

My Dad's hair started falling out when he was in his 40's, all of it. He was fun with it though, 'never had to buy shampoo' - 'quick to dry off' - nothing slowed him down, just keep a hat handy. Blessings my friend.

I have identical twin girls and at the age of 6 one of them got alopecia and had her hair to fall out in patches. She is 12 now and we haven’t had a problem with it since but her hair is a lot thinner. It’s hard at times I’m sure but keep your head held high. You have a beautiful smart daughter that will love you always and will not care if dad has hair or no hair. Good video. Just found your channel from White House on the hill.

Found you through the Jameson adventure and Justin Rhodes. I think that is what a childhood friend of mine had or has. Every summer or around that time he would loose all the hair on his body. Great friend but man he went through hell in school getting made fun of and what not but he never let those who made fun of him bother him.

Yes, losing my hair in the 4th grade was pretty horrible! I think a little of that has stuck with me all these years and still hard to tell people about it. Thanks for tuning in!

Hey you look great! It sounds like Alopecia is an autoimmune disease. There are things that can be done to improve autoimmune conditions. I have hashimoto's which is also autoimmune in nature. The standard doctors do not know what to do for these conditions. Dr Tom O'bryan has had years of experience helping people who have these types of challenges. He is one of many Functional medicine doctors that ask the question 'Why is this happening?" and find the answers so that people like us can enpower ourselves to live healthier lives. Dr Tom wrote a book called 'The Autoimmune Fix. This book gives very complete information about tests that can guide you and self experiments that enlighten. Dr Tom writes in a way that we all can understand. I wish the best health for you and your family! And thank you for your authenticity!

I have it too. Mine go away after cordizone injections. Usually gets triggered by excessive alcohol for too many days in a row, typically when I take a stay at home vacation or get little to no sleep for too long. I have two spots right now, but it was gone for like 2 years. The spots are already filling back in.

Have you tried COAL TAR? Either in your shampoo or as a treatment to put on and massage into your scalp. It is supposed to work on dermatitis and psoriasis. My Sister's hair is falling out and I'm going to make her 2 things, one to massage in and a shampoo.
