Wow! This is deep! Very emotional. I'm having difficulty imprinting the resources into my younger self. It's like she doesn't believe me, she doesn't believe it will work. When I step out, come back and ask her why, she says this is not the right situation. I feel a lot of fear, and then I'm in my mother's womb. It feels more like terror. That's as far as I have been able to get with this technique. 😢

This is a challenging process even for a seasoned practitioner. It's even more difficult to do on yourself and I don't recommend it. It's better to have someone else, who knows this process well, guide you through it.

So I did this a few weeks ago and it made a big difference. I did it again today and I didn't think I could associate into the other person, but I did it and it wasn't like I thought, now I feel like I can forgive the other person and I'm sad that she passed away never knowing how to access the love and other resources inside of her. In the end of the process, my younger self was giving me resources that I had trouble with or was resisting prior. It's like she became my guru in a sense, she is amazing, this younger self. I'm telling her all the good things to come and she is saying, "I know, I know and it can be even better." Also, the image of her completely changed, and the image moved to right in front of me. She was glowing. Then she associated, or integrated into me.

Dear Damon, Thank you so much for all the valuable content you've been sharing on your channel! I just recently 'discovered' your channel and have been binge watching your videos since then. And my knowledge and understanding of NLP has grown immensely because of you. I'd love to see videos about Core Transformation like your videos about the Self-Concept Model and Re-imprinting. Especially with comparisons to other parts therapy techniques like the Visual Squash and differences in application from Re-imprinting. I believe that the Self-Concept Model and the Core Transformation exercise are some of the most valuable contributions from the Andreases.
@DamonCart3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for all of the kind words. Much appreciated. Let me put some thought to that. I don't use Core Transformation in my practice. Mark Andreas taught it to me and it's the model he focuses on the most. I get about 90% of what I need from Self-Concept though.
@hashimnaushahi3 жыл бұрын
@@DamonCart I'm looking forward to it (when you've decided you'll do it of course). I can understand why Mark Andreas uses Core Transformation so much. I've read the book and seen some demos. And it looks really powerful. At the same time I find it hard to understand why it's so much more powerful than the Visual Squash or Value Elicitation while they look almost the same. The same goes for Re-imprinting that seems to be more powerful than Timeline Therapy and Change Personal History while they look so similar. So if you're willing to dive into that and share your findings with us, I think that would be amazing! And although this might be off topic, I really like your EMI video. I consider Core Transformation, Re-imprinting and Eye Movement Integration the top 3 of all NLP techniques out there. By the way... I love your down to earth style. Starting to find self love can bring up grieving for not having it for so long til now, but also there's the self judgement it comes up against which can also be painful, like feeling worthy of it even when bad actors are not present. So sometimes it feels worse before it gets better.
@DamonCart2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't pursue self-love. Why would you not include yourself in your love to begin with? Then to have to specifically focus love on just yourself becomes selfish and not love at all. Also, self-love implies there is part of you that loves and part of you that is loved. This creates an imaginary boundary within yourself of self and other, which creates conflicts. Transcend the idea of self-love and of self-judgment as well as self-worth. There is no such thing as self-worth because there is no way to objectively measure your worth. Trying to counteract not loving yourself by loving yourself and trying to counteract the feeling of low self-wroth by trying to increase your self-worth just perpetuates the problem.

Hi Damon I really appreciate you and this technique. I was wondering if I feel like I had no validation or encouragement how would you phrase it? Thank you if you answer and if you should need a volunteer,I would be gladly available 😀
@DamonCart2 жыл бұрын
It's probably love and acceptance. I don't like using values with "self" in front of it. It creates a duality that only leads to more problems. Self belief doesn't tell you much either. What would you have to believe about yourself to be who you want to be?
@Anna-Amoroso2 жыл бұрын

What does giving person A,B,C qualities/values do for what actually happened during in the ISE. I understand you can reframe understandings of the client in the ISE and inform the younger you. I understand knowing that A,B,C were not utilizing their values in the ISE for the "sting" to occur, but how can you give someone values and have that make change of what really happened without creating a falsehood (basically a lie)? A,B,C are what they are, changing them or how they use their qualities won't really change them.
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
Resources. You keep referring to values and qualities. In reimprinting we add resources, not values and qualities. This is where the distinction of resources is critical apart from values and qualities. This is not about creating a new example to add to a database of a quality. This is about reuniting isolated parts of you within your neurology. You're younger you and whoever else was involved in the memory is not real to begin with. You're carrying it around in your neurology as isolated parts. Adding resources reintegrates the isolated parts.

Crazy. So my wound was abandonment, and my need was belonging and in going into myself at the first feeling of preparing to be abandoned again I found out that I am the beacon or the magnet. I always belong bc I'm the foundation of belonging. So people were breaking away from me and bc I was pure love and by doing so they were hurting themselves. The sun didn't shine on them if they were away from me. Interesting!

Is it ok to use this on yourself 1-2 a week for different events in your early life you wanna reshape?
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it. Imprints are similar to trauma. If you spend time consistently looking for traumas in order to reshape them, then your life becomes about your traumas. Instead, focus on the life you want to create for yourself and the person you want to become. On your journey to doing that you will encounter obstacles. Sometimes those obstacles will be imprints. That's the time to do a reimprint.
@rafiechowdhury5963 Жыл бұрын
@@DamonCart I see what your saying, but I feel like I have a lot of different traumas that keep coming up lol.
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
@@rafiechowdhury5963 deal with them as they come up while you're pursuing the life you want rather than waiting to pursue the life you want until you rid yourself of all of your traumas. You will always find what you're looking for. As long as you keep looking for traumas, you'll keep finding them. You can waste an entire lifetime doing this.

Thank you for doing this demonstration Damon. Does it have to be done with a specific incident that you remember? Because I started doing this for myself and I got the idea that it was just because of a specific person and then her problems were because of other people and if I just have a time when the four of us were in a room together but nothing significant may have happened but still give everyone the resources they need will it still work?
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
You're welcome Renee. No, must of the time when I do a re-imprint is when the person is feeling extreme resistance to making a change that they want and would benefit them or if they're experiencing a severely limiting belief. They usually are unaware of the incident that created it. I have them hold the feeling of the resistance or the belief and slide back in time as far back as the feeling persists. As I mentioned in the previous video I did on re-imprinting (you'll find the link for it in the description above for this video), the incident that comes up is usually when you were very young and it might not be what actually happened. What comes up is a representation of the belief or feeling. The exact factual details are irrelevant because it has to do with how you're creating it within yourself now that is holding you back.

Hey daman thanks so much for this demonstration is great to see somebody reacting so well from this technique. If I am correct in saying this is essentially time line therapy which I remember was a form of an NLP. the trouble I am having is what if the emotion comes from a mistake you made in the pastwhich caused the problem? Because what makes it tricky is when you begin to say it's not my fault, to a certain extent that mistake was my fault which then caused the the fearful reaction and emotion.
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
No, this process uses timeline but it is not essentially timeline therapy. This process is called Reimprinting. The theory behind is that when we are very young like between the ages of 0 to 7 our personalities are not fully formed. When we are subjected to something stressful in which we do not yet have the internal resources to deal with it, it creates a trauma or imprint. So we go back in and reimprint with the resources that were missing and heal the isolated part of you that detached from the rest of you in that moment and reintegrate it. In a previous video I did where I explained reimprinting I referenced one of the last scenes of Good Will Hunting when Will and Robin William's character have an intense moment when he keeps saying to Will "It's not your fault". That scened alone will give you a better understanding of reimprinting and you'll notice he doesn't use timeline therapy. While the scene is an oversimplification of reimprinting, it will give you the right idea.

It's called Re-Imprinting. Imprints can occur at any stage of life, childhood or adulthood so in that since no, it's not considered inner child work. However, since our major limiting beliefs often come from imprints that occurred early in childhood, I can see how people would consider this inner child work when you have to go to early childhood to re-imprint an imprint.

Hi Damon.i have 2questions. 1, are you using reimprinting always if your client have “i am not good enaught issue?” 2, what would you do if the client would actually not feel the love, connection etc. within herself ? Would you as you actualy did - look for a time when she experienced it within herself independently of others and so bring it into present experience and from there go to the past? Or would you work also with the concept of self beeing loving, accepting etc. That the love acceptance is really a part of her self concept and after turn back to the reimprinting process? Many thanks for you insights:)
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
1. No, re-imprinting can be related to self-worth issues but I haven't found it to be a cure for that. The Self-Concept model is what I used to overcome self-worth issues and it's what I use with clients because it deals directly with your identity, which is what affects your self-esteem. Re-imprinting is great for when someone has a deep rooted limiting belief or they have deep rooted resistance to change. 2. All we need is a reference. The fact that she can say that she needs love and acceptance means she has to know what it is. You can't want something unless you know what it is. It's just a matter of directing her to that reference.

From here I keep asking questions until they can tell me what they want stated in the positive. Without knowing that it's nearly impossible to get what you want.
