Hi from Annie, this is a great video thank you, It is wise not to take anything for granted I never do am so grateful for even the smallest things like electricity gas and toilet shower etc and roof over head and a bed etc so grateful for all those things I know many folks that do take it all for granted, they are too much into their egos etc.

I absolutely agree with you about appreciating the basics. So long as we have clean water, enough to eat and a cosy bed to sleep in we’ve already won life’s lottery. It’s very easy to lose sight of this and get sidetracked by stuff. Thank you for your wisdom and warmth. 🌻

Dearest Sandra that really is a perfect topic to discuss when so many of us take the blessings we have totally for granted. Thank you for helping me realize how blessed I am in so many ways, and above all for the beautiful family God had given me. 🌷 Like you so wisely said it, we should look around and give a hand to those in need, share the love , be kind to others and feel compassion in our hearts. ♥️ Sandra, please continue with our weekly conversations, your kindness, knowledge and wisdom is so much needed in this world. Many blessings🌷

This month I sold the house I lived in for 37 years and moved to a 55+ community that I can afford. It's so nice! It's the first place I have ever decorated (with used furniture). I've been studying the use of color and how to arrange furniture and am so pleased with the results. You are an inspiration and encouragement to me. I'm going to start wearing the jewelry I've had forever and also put on makeup. I just felt the need to document my New Beginning. Thank you for being!!

Dear One, you reminded me of my mother who often told us "Count your blessings" when we complained about what we didn't have. These days, when I rise my first word is "Gratitude". I notice the difference on the days I forget to say it, too! Gratitude and 💜 to you for your words.

I grew up on "count your blessings" as well. I am 78 and did a speech in a Toast Masters completion on counting your blessings. the speech was a real shift in the typical toast master topics for my group. I won. I continue to grow in what ever I do with the "count your blessings" saying as my foundation. Thank you for sharing. May you always be egged on:-)))))))

An attitude of gratitude can make life so much better and it is free! My mother modeled how encouraging/lifting others up can be so meaningful to others. As she aged she became much less mobile so she focused on encouraging others (family, friends, and strangers). It can be as simple as really listening to others. I am grateful for you, Sandra. Thank you, for being you!😊💕

As you get older, you realise just how much you have. If I could speak to my younger self, I would say don’t worry about the future, just think about today and be grateful for it, because one day you may look back and realise how great life was, and you wished you could turn back the clock. Sandra, this was so lovely, you have a gentle soul.

Love watching your show, Sandra. I just wish I could relate with what is happening here at our home. For 4 years now it has been trauma after trauma and stress and needs to be met in circumstances I never would have believed. All of this regarding true problems with grown children and grandchildren. In my entire life (!) my husband (and myself) have never been thru fear, heartbreak or stress to this degree. Our house is now a "base" for 3 families to try to heal and find answers. Our house is small. Has anyone else encountered extreme upset at age 70+ like this? It requires real work on our part, no "walking in the sun" retired. I would be interested to hear from anyone else who's been hit in their "golden" years?

You are not alone. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and reaching out. I know there are many in our community who can identify with your situation. My oldest daughter has an autoimmune illness and is now living with us. She is so helpful to me with my ailing husband but never thought she would be living with her mother again. . I never thought I would have any of my children back after they left the nest years ago. I’m sending prayers of strength your way, hoping your children can get their lives together.

God bless you Sandra! I was very much in need of this today and you changed my entire day in just a few minutes. Sometimes we forget how truly blessed we are to have a roof over our head, food to eat and someone to love us. So many are struggling in this world and we take for granted the luxury of the small things that are dreams to others. Thanks so much for the reminder to always be grateful and kind to everyone that crosses our path. We never know what someone else is going through and we need to be a blessing to them. Thanks so much Sandra for being a light in this world. I get so excited every time you have a new video because I know I am going to learn something wonderful. God bless you dear one and please take care. Looking forward to seeing you again.❤️

Greetings, Sandra. When I was a teenager I would always ask my dad what he wanted for his birthday, Father's Day, Christmas. He always told me that he wanted to keep his good health and that this was the most important to him. I never understood this because as a child I thought that material things were the most important gifts. When I matured and learned that good health was a valuable commodity that so many persons lose, even in early life, I understood perfectly why the GIFT OF GOOD HEALTH was most valuable. When you have your health, you have everything. I am now most appreciative of my good health and I will do what is necessary to keep it.

I do agree that gratitude is the key to peace, whether it's gratitude for a lot or a little. Hello my friend, I have always considered this channel and the community here a “ SAFE” place, and a heart centered place. What a blessing to have this small thing, that is so big. Sandra… May I just hold your hand as my living situation has hit the fan. My heart has been burdened deeply lately by the fact ( I’ve mentioned this all to you) that my ex and I are NOT healthy together. Mentally… emotionally.. spiritually. I’ve tried to look at it all from many different sides. But it is a phony life and it’s taking a toll on my body and mind. I already have Anxiety issues I work on thru self help… prayer, videos, books etc. I do these things daily. We have both been in denial and don’t know what to do at this point. We have helped each other in ways that are practical…. But the emotional/ mental part of this is not healthy. Our past has taken a toll and with me not financially in a place to be on my own, we are at a loss. There is nowhere for me to go. I am going back into Couseling for a start and There must be an answer for this out there. I am so scared because I am so dependent on him, and not in the healthy way. We just have to much “ stuff” between us that has never resolved. It’s been problematic for our whole history of 24 years. Married and divorced. I want to live a heart centered life, in gratitude. We just operate in a very very low vibration because we have different ways of seeing life. Thank you for listening Sandra. I pray 🙏🙏for an answer for this situation as we both have a right to live in a free place , Whatever that is for each of us. ❤️

I love the music in this video so much. It reminds me of being a kid in the 60s' and having my very beautiful and sophisticated Mother that knew how to live in that amazing time. In the past 5 years I always think about the homeless and how it is my worst fear in life. We need to be more aware of the homeless in our country and start helping them out asap, instead of giving millions to foreign countries. A lot of our homeless are war veterans. I see them begging on the highways in the extreme heat when I am in Florida. It is heartbreaking, Thank you for this video! I look forward to watching the movie!

Hello Sandra. I do still watch your videos, however, I no longer comment, as silly men seem to see me as a target. I am 73 and still being revictimised. As dogs smell fear, abusers can identify abused children.

I saw that movie, Nomadland, last year. Pretty much like watching paint dry. And very depressing. The almost non-existent storyline had her giving up a really sweet guy who wanted to be with her, who she cared about too. Why? To keep wandering around in her grubby van! I didn't see her enjoying simple pleasures either. I saw a depressed woman who liked to stare off into the distance. It did help ME appreciate the simple pleasure of living under a roof so there's that I guess!

Sandra, I watched the movie Nomadland tonight, after you talked about it! It was very thought provoking. I was mesmerized watching it. It made me appreciate Everything I have. I am guilty of wanting some things more than I have, and I already have so much. A beautiful family and a nice home, I want for nothing more. Thank you for this video today. You look beautiful in that navy blouse, you brighten up my day❤

Sandra - You are a guiding light for others. - Your love of gratitude and realization are warm and comforting. - I hope it is ok. I am putting up a poem by Max Ehrmann from 1906. - I find that is timeless and I read this each morning as I wake. - many blessings - RR - "A Prayer" Let me do my work each day; and if the darkened hours of despair overcome me, may I not forget the strength that comforted me in the desolation of other times. May I still remember the bright hours that found me walking over the silent hills of my childhood, or dreaming on the margin of a quiet river, when a light glowed within me, and I promised my early God to have courage amid the tempests of the changing years. Spare me from bitterness and from the sharp passions of unguarded moments. May I not forget that poverty and riches are of the spirit. Though the world knows me not, may my thoughts and actions be such as shall keep me friendly with myself. Lift up my eyes from the earth, and let me not forget the uses of the stars. Forbid that I should judge others lest I condemn myself. Let me not follow the clamor of the world, but walk calmly in my path. Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am; and keep ever burning before my vagrant steps, the kindly light of hope. And though age and infirmity overtake me, and I come not within sight of the castle of my dreams, teach me still to be thankful for life, and for time's olden memories that are good and sweet; and may the evening's twilight find me gentle still. - Maxx Ehrmann - 1906

Dear Sandra, I am a new subscriber and so happy to have found your uplifting and thought provoking channel. I keep an “Attitude of Gratitude” Journal and find something each day to be grateful for. There are usually so many things each day to be thankful for. It can be as simple as catching a beautiful sunset and enjoying the colors. It really does change your perspective to be able to identify and write down the many blessings we have. 💕💕💕 Thank you for all you give to your community. I am thankful for you. May God bless you! 💕💕💕

I learned the power of realizing true needs (shelter, food and health) versus everything else (wants) in Uganda 20 years ago. Scratching out starchy vegetables from the ground with occasional goat meat is their sustenance. When I was without a roof over my head for some months in 2018, and at times living in my car, I never forgot that I still had it better than 2/3 of the world's population. It was a season I had to go through but not by choice. I remind myself continually to be grateful for all the ways the Lord God continues to provide for and take care of me. May His blessings pour out on you and Arthur, my friend❣

Hello Sandra Your videos came up on my feed yesterday, I love your advice and messages. I'm grateful that I no longer have to worry about the tangible things like broken down cars or roof leaking or providing for my sons. However, now that I'm over 60 I'm most grateful for my health and the health of my family.

Hello,I was so impressed by your videos and shared them with my mother. You are so so beautiful and it is my greatest wish that I can age like you.But I always have a huge question..isn't it that you're beautiful because you 'were' already beautiful when you were young. Do you think aging beautiful is possible for an average-looking person like you??

Thank you for your video. Yes, we all need to be thankful for every blessing we have in life. My mother is 96 and always says sometimes we think we are not doing so well but we are so much more fortunate than many others. My mother is from Japan and lived there during WW2 and knows what it's like to be starving and have nothing. She says people here today are so lucky, we have so much and we have to be thankful for what we have.

Sandra, I just discovered you on youtube and my narcisssistic mother is your age. My goodness you are such a sweet, loving, caring, compassionate woman and I wished you were my mother! I have no contact with her as my mother only causes misery and frustration and sadness in my life. You are such a great rolmodel and I know that you have a daughter who is also a flightattendant like me. You have so much wisdom and knowledge of life and I thank you for that and crossing my path. I love the way how you make the videos and your feminine style with your beautiful taste of clothes and romantic bedroom. You are an example for me how I want to be when I am your age. So many women after 50 do not look groomed anymore. Their skin is not radiant, their hair is very dull and short like a man. They do not want to wear lipstick or jewelry anymore, in short they look like unkempt men! I love how you still take very good care of yourself and look very feminine! And that is my intention for getting older as well! Thank you for being you Sandra 🙏💖🌺

I love your videos. A lot of us haven't lived charmed lives, as I think you have. You have good advise for most of us. A lot of seniors live on fixed income and struggling to just eat. A lot of us don't have supportive children that live nearby. A lot of us have lost our health. A lot of us has to support our adult children and even raise our grandchildren. Fortunately, not I. You may not be able to relate to these circumstances but that's okay. I also live in south Florida in a beautiful senior community. I witness a lot of heart break among my neighbors. Thank you Sandra!
