Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Some of those ideas were exactly what I've been worried about. The color, details and branding are extremely crucial in my opinion for a startup company. Great to see you putting out content again. Missed your input! I'm surprised that no one in my area is using Orange for some reason. They're all black or blue or green and so I'm having my new cans that are being built colour matched to the same safety orange.

My dumpsters are pink with gray logos. And a gray strip. Very unique for my area and a couple of customers have noted that the color caught their eye and that’s what drove them to the website!

Great point about the long term implications of where the color might be down the road with fading. I’m also curious about the lifetime of a dumpster under “normal” wear and tear. 10, 20, even 30 years for a life cycle? 🤷‍♂️ I wonder what that looks like for most people around the country. Rusting/corrosion, maintenance, repairs, potential abuse/damage by customers? 20 years sounds like a good average amount of time as long as things have been maintained reasonably. I guess now I’m curious what it looks like for multigenerational companies out there. Is there a lifecycle guideline they follow like ex: 5 years (touch up welds, new graphics) 10 years (repaint) 15 years (new floor or wheels)… Then whether it’s 20 or more years, if it’s beat to death or “totaled” like a vehicle, do people just scrap it? Use it as a yard bin for scrap metal(not fit for public use), stuff like that. Maybe even rent it out for pennys on the dollar, only charge a dump fee for a local charity and essentially give them the dumpster and leave it there permanently for them but use it as a write off(take off decals so not a bad look) Just throwing ideas out. Some of my oldest dumpsters are about 15 years old and we have been repainting them slowly but they are still functional...maybe 30 years...THe more dumpsters you have the harder this gets to keep up with. Most companies either sell them, keep them for busy times, leave them on a commercial site, or repaint them....

I agree with the green however i have Kawasaki Green. Stands out much better than the standard lime green or dark green you see a lot. Having a logo / branding is vital. Great video

Absolutely 👍 branding is everything have touch up paint to keep them looking good. I wouldn’t want a rusty ugly bent up bin in my driveway.
