Absolutely no doubt the most powerful release on tour with verity a close second. I love watching her bowl as she’s my favorite female bowler. I agree with what you said. The only thing holding her back in my opinion is that the oil patterns on tour don’t always allow her to play her A game which is hooking the whole lane and using her power to her advantage.

Do you think she tracks a little low? I didn't think so but the first video may looks like it? Only reason why I'm asking is my release is pretty similar but I track like 2-3 inches low not matter what I do, it gives me a lot of goofy ball paths.

What's also unusual for her is how her elbow bends backwards at the top of her swing. She's talked about it before. Fun bowler to watch.

Would you be willing to do a video on mechanics of arm bend during the swing? All the American or English speaking videos only go over foul line and one step drills for hand positions but never what happens to the rest of the arm. I started watching Korean and Japanese videos that talk about/show elbow bend but not understanding the language could only help so much.

On her release...i understand fingers underneath equator and her fingers are too inside. Thing i dont understand so she just rolls it straight and no turn when releasing. Wouldn't this produce a non curve ball motion? New to bowling. Sorry.

Almost all pro bowlers start on the inside but at the release point they transition to either the outside of the ball if they are looking for more hook or stay back behind the ball for more of an end over end roll to stay straighter. With a fingertip grip, it's pretty hard to throw it straight unless you open up your wrist and get it more on top of the ball, which will lower the revs drastically. Alternatively, if you start with your hand on the outside of the ball like a handshake, producing a lot of revs and speed will be difficult. Pros with high rev rates liken it to a yo-yo action. A lot of times their elbow is actually bent right before release.

I've always said that many women bowlers have better form and mechanics than men do. Her throw is so smooth, but also has a ton of power behind it. You don't see that very often.

If Verity threw it like Daria, she would be straight up unstoppable. Bowled a few pairs away from her at my second PBA regional tournament ever and she was cleaning up. Think she entered the cashers' round seeded 5th and went stride for stride with Tom Daughtery during match play.

You mentioned Daria was hurt, but I do think she has some elbow issues. Do you think her elbow issues are because of having to jam her elbow forward and bend it backwards basically to create all those revs and power? Do you think this is why other female pros choose not to do this? I follow several of the female pros because i feel like I’m closer to their revs and power than than a lot of the male pros nowadays. I do agree Daria is one of the best at this, I just wonder if the cost of this release to her elbow is too high.

Her elbow issues were caused by a plasma injection that she had to get earlier this year.
