Yes, friends share, trade, give as gifts, and buy and sell! That's what's so fun about being a plant hobbyist, collector and/or seller!!

I agree with you about the Jose Bueno. I have the original and the Texas and they are stunners. I love how the variegation changes colors and how it grows full, 360 style. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Love the mermaids tail, I have one that is grafted onto a regular straight cactus. I love the one you have so much better. I don’t recommend the variegated micans because you look at it and it reverts and your back to chopping it to get the color back.

Girl. I have been looking everywhere for a Mermaid’s Tail. But, I’ve only seen them online for a wicked price. Hopefully, I can find one soon.

I go to the horticulture schools in my area when they have their sales once or twice a year. the prices are great and they can educate on the go's and no's to do with the plant your buying. I spent over a hundred dollars and got some really hard to get plants and had a great time..

I absolutely ADORE my manjula pothos, yes it’s common but it’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s not hard to care for, the leaves are beautifully variegated, and the leaves are getting larger all of the time. Oh I forgot to mention it has cupped leaves, I’m in love with this common plant. ❤️🪻💚🙃

I love the mermaids tail. Just yesterday I bought a Senecio Mount Everest. also that blue color. Inexpensive but soo cool. I kill succulents so we'll see. I have a big southeast patio door and northwest small windows. Probably not ideal. What exposure do you give your mermaid tail? And do you put it outdoors in summer?

Totally agree with the Radicans x Luxurians Anthurium! I have a little baby starter plant I got from Green Escape and it's been giving me such a great time. Just put out another leaf (already put out 2 with me) and it's sizing up nicely. I recently acquired a Philodendron Ricardoi which I've virtually heard nothing about or have even seen really, so hopefully it does well! I have a Billie x Choco Red Philodendron that I am in love with as well as an Esmeralda Spirit (hybrid of Esmeraldense and Spiritus Sancti). The Esmeralda Spirit has such beautiful long leaves and it seems to be a fairly easy (for me). The Billie x Choco Red is an interesting hybrid that seems hardy as well!

I feel like where I live in Canada more would be classified as uncommon... My current favorite find is a string of turtles i found at a grocery store last year. It's little leaves make my heart smile and its so easy to care for. I am working on propping to fill out the top a bit more from hanging it a bit to high from the light and its going great.

Why does it take at least 5 to 7 photos for them to get the plant that i have right. I think they need to do better or there needs to be a link to0 put the name in yourself. If there is a link someone please tell me how to access it!

This may be a VERY RUDE question, but don’t friends share plants ? I would happily give someone a cutting of a plant, I would hope that they might have something that they would share with me ? I’m an old fart so maybe I’m just VERY old school ? I don’t know if houseplants have patients on them but as long as I’m not selling that plant I feel comfortable with sharing. 🪻💚🙃

I love your video of your different plants. I am amazed at how you find these plants. My HD does not have a variety of plants,, just some small common plants. I was excited finding a lipstick and Silver Dragon leaf plant. My next plant will be the leaf with holes, terrible at names. Now I’m checking if I need cool or warm mist/humidity in the room? Living room is warm. Plus when to start feeding and what is a good fertilizer?

My Adansonii is also giving me a run for my money, learning to grow it without all the browning tips, or dry brown patches elsewhere on the leaves. It's fussy! However, recently I accidentally let one of mine dry out completely and it rebelled, or I should say, suffered greatly from that. Many leaves turned yellow, brown, crispy, and what I did from that time on seems to be helping. I decided they don't like to get dry, so after I chopped off all the damaged leaves, I started trying for consistently moist. So I would give it a little drink every time I passed it. Once in a while I soak it completely. I also started treating it like the more sensitive prayer plant types by giving it rain water whenever it was on hand. So all the new growth in the past 2 months or so is looking perfect! No blemishes, yellowing, brown death. I try to mimic a rainforest home, with consistent moisture, not drowning it, but it has access to water much more frequently......I have 3 M. Adansonii potted up, and one growing in a vase/water. They are steadily looking prettier and prettier! Happily seem to have figured them out. Hope this helps you!

As an addendum: I live in the desert southwest so this climate really gives me wet/dry cycles much faster than anywhere I've ever lived/grown. This climate makes it less "dangerous" to water frequently. Root rot from too much water is not a thing here.
@debbiefrick43806 ай бұрын
@@ofhismercy109 I chopped my whole plant and have 3 pots with 3 props each and a jar with a node and a brown leaf both rooting. My potted props put out new green growth fast and then get the brown spots so I have now moved those all muuuch farther from the windows. one is about 20 feet away. It might be working but too soon to tell for sure. I'll try you water technique. My daughter took her monstera deliciosa to work and every time her boss walks into her office he dumps water from his drinking glass and the plant is doing better than ever! ?? !
