One of the first plants I ever had was a big dieffenbachia from a boyfriends mom, it grew 4 feet in my care and I never had any issues with it until I had to move and she couldn’t come, now? I can’t grow one to save my life! At least not big and healthy! Wtheck?! If anything makes me wanna move from Canada to the states it’d be cause of rare plant availability!! Can’t believe all the cool ones you found!! Yes the skeleton key needs a moss pole
@carolinebaines8735Ай бұрын
The Skeleton Key is a commitment to get it to the key shape. All it needs is a pole - no extra humidity and normal bright indirect light. But it has to have a pole and it'll take awhile.

Hi Ashley, I’ve had a Skeleton Key Epi for almost the last year. It was tiny when I got it. I immediately put it on a pole. It has sized up quite a bit and I’m starting to get bigger leaves with tiny holes and they are starting to take on the beginnings of the key shape. Very exciting! It’s in a room with bright indirect light and gets a bit of direct light in the afternoon. I’m in Alberta, so very dry here. Doesn’t seem to mind the lack of humidity. Why not give it a try!
@Miles_HoffmanАй бұрын
Get the skeleton key just as easy as any other post those to care for and if you climb it up a bamboo stick it will within five or six leaves start to give you the key shape ❤

Bonjour 😊 ! 👍 💚 🍀

Hi Ashley, love your video's. I have the skeleton key for about 2 years. Its easy to care for, just water when dry and I have it under a grow light. Its starting to trail, a slow grower, but you should get it, you'll like it.

Hello! Of those, I'd get the Epipremnum Pittatum Marble. I have a small one that's not really pinnating yet, so getting one that already has a huge head start and is that big seems like a luxury (and totally worth it). The Sansevieria Yellow Flame looks like it's actually a Sansevieria Bunlue Torch - I love mine and I also highly recommend it if you don't have one and like Sansevierias.

Okay, young lady - you’re in trouble with me. I woke up at five-thirty this morning and went to three stores (Patuxent Nursery [Bowie, MD], Lowes, and Home Depot). I hardly spent any money but came home with a Christmas Sleigh Aloe (Home Depot - last one left) and a Philodendron Brasil (Lowes). I also managed, with store permission, to take home a leaf from a Moonshine Snake Plant (at no cost) to try to propagate it. The plant wasn’t in good shape, and the leaf wasn’t even attached. It’s quarantined but cut up and healing over before I plant them. The plant nursery above did have some Whale Tail Snake Plants, but they were in huge pots, and the plants were just a quarter of the size of the single leaf ones in your video, and they wanted $40. My space is small, so I’m going to hold out. Might buy a smaller specimen online. Anyway... the only trouble you’re in is in the form of a ‘Thank You’! I really enjoy your channel, advice, shopping trips, and all... Thank you for the inspiration! Subscribed OH - by the way - thank you for the discount at rePotme... in trouble there too - spent about $90 :)

@@LifewithAshleyAnita I never would have thought to go to Home Depot to find a decorative aloe plant! Wow! The sales person at the Lowes reply was '...sure, you can take the leaf'. She twisted her face and then said 'I have NO idea what you're gonna do with it though'. I thanked her and didn't say another word :)

I've had a skeleton key for 2 years. It's a slow climber and it is just beginning to show its true shape with small leaves. I've had mealybug problems and it does not like it drying out for too long. Similar to most pothos it will drop the lower leaves. Enjoy

Some of my favorite plants are large, perfect specimens from Horrocks. Don’t forget to look around the stage area, as those are also typically for sale. Once, I got a huge Raven zz that was in perfect condition. Also a very large Schefflera Amate (large form). And a Philodendron selloum/hope/etc. i already had 5, but his one had gorgeous mature curly leaves ❤❤ i highly encourage you to check out Holwerda Growers in Holland. It is just around the corner from their Lowes, and in my opinion thatLowes has nicer plants than GR.
