I used to visit them from time to time and their place was literally an image of my house, down-sized to their dimensions and kept immaculate! There's absolutely never any place for living in squalor. I bet, if I gave this guy a $100,000 home, he'd turn it into a shambles within three months. Poor guy. He needs to be shown how to live properly. That’s been my struggle. I just recently spent a couple days with a proper family(I spent a couple days visiting) and I was blown away at how amazing life can be… but here I am back living alone in a horrible trailer park alone. I’m in this situation because I had to care for my disabled father. I didn’t have a mom or siblings to help and I couldn’t leave him to suffer alone. So… when he passed away they took the house and now I’m struggling. But I got a glimpse the other day at what life should be like. Hopefully I can press forward and get things right. Feel bad for that guy but he seems to be making excuses for his situation. I work three jobs and I’m trying my hardest to get my life on track.

Dealing with hoarders at times, a lot of it is depression, mental issues beyond the normal or understanding. Social Services are suffering budget cuts during the Trump administration and Biden is trying to correct some of it. But State programs from the state to state levels have been cut, specially in Republican held States. The Social Safety-net has very large holes. If people don't get involved it will get worse... I've never watched Repo Video's before but poof there you were one day. Your ability to interact with folks ESPECIALLY in a Repo situation just blows my mind. I truly believe it's a "God thing" that I found your Channel. Your compassion through Christ just shines right through. I admire the fact that the Gospel appears at ALL the right times when you're on the road doing your job. I understand that many folks are opinionated about Religion in a negative way and I'm sure at some point you've been spoken to negatively when the first hint of Religion leaves your lips so if you appear to be guarded when it comes to that subject i certainly understand it. I cannot fathom where my life would be had I not spent time living at our Summer Cottage in an Amish Community in Middlebury, Indiana. Though I'm not Amish I have the utmost Respect for the Amish Community. I now know where you got your "hard working" ethic from for sure if that makes any sense. Living in poverty causes depression. When you are depressed, you feel hopeless. When you are hopeless, you have no incentive to clean, or try to improve your situation. Strong willed people pull themselves up bit by bit. It is the weak who drown in sorrow. If drugs or alchohol are keeping you down, you have to get clean. If bad luck is keeping you down, change your luck by being proactive and positive. If laziness is keeping you down, get your butt up and do something. Anything! Start small and build on it. Start by cleaning yourself, then your surroundings. You will start to feel better. Don't be too ashamed to ask for help. Take that help and help yourself, then, help someone else.

I can't feel sorry for excuses as I've been homeless because of my bad decisions but even then I worked for the dope I shot in my arm, no ID required. I even lived in a shed for three winters and keep it spotless and I'd bathe using a bucket of hot water from the turkey fryer. Prison is what I needed years earlier and what saved me. Thank goodness I was in a state that had the resources in prison because believe it or not they do not want you coming back. It's also where I got my birth certificate, social security card and a picture ID free of charge just like every state I've lived in.
@Mystress19802 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I'm disabled and just walking feels like I'm on broken ankles, but I still have a part time job, because I don't want to end up on the street. That still may happen, given how stupidly high rent is now, but even on my worst days, where I can barely get out of bed, I made damn sure my place was clean enough to not have BUGS. There has to be a line you draw for yourself somewhere. It may take me all day, in 5 minutes spurts to get the bathroom clean, but it WILL get cleaned. I get depression holding someone down, and living like that just amplifies it, but at some point you just have to tell yourself you've had enough, and do something about it.

The issue of not having a birth certificate IS a major problem. Makes it pretty much impossible to obtain a driver's license and ID. Without those, it's near impossible to get a job. If you do get a job, you can't cash a check with no ID. It's a bad situation. He needs to see someone with the County to assist him.
@jordanalandry18662 ай бұрын
@@bindig1 he HAS a birth certificate, he was issued one it's on record, (but even if he didn't, that's totally do-able as well but it would be a little more intensive) he just doesnt have the physical copy, which he needs to get and yes there is a way lmao he's just full of excuses any inconvenience or having to actually follow thru and take some initiative he says fuck it altogether. That mentality will not take u anywhere in life, there are REAL problems and in the big picture, having to get a replacement birth cert is NOT one of them not even a blip on the radar that's like a same day issue most people deal with shit like that regularly and move along when ppl get this "special case" mentality with the excuses effing forget it they can't even be bothered to reach up and grab a dangling golden carrot just beyond their grasp, how the hell they gonna get on their feet and put one foot in front of the other and actually MOVE?

@karyannfontaine87575 ай бұрын
Perhaps, not intelligence, but learning about finance, budgeting, tasks of daily living. I wish there were free classes to teach people these things, which they have never known. The politicians never invest in things to help people to look after themselves.
@widehotep92575 ай бұрын
@@karyannfontaine8757 No, I meant intelligence. Even the US Supreme Court understands that people with very low intelligence cannot receive capital punishment because they are unable to understand what they're doing and what they've done. Scoring under 70 on certain tests is a get-out-jail-free card for folks on depth row (Misspelled intentionally). If someone can't understand the effects and consequences of the most horrible crimes, imagine that same person trying to balance a checkbook, plan a career strategy or understand a credit score. For the same reason, the US military rejects all applicants who score under 83 on certain tests. (Average score on these tests is 100.)
