As a hungarian I think the "csókolom" thing at the beginning was not flirty at all, sure you use it with someone who you closer relationship (who is not a complete stranger), but it was not out of place at all.

"Csókolom". Older men used to say it to younger women too. Nothing is wrong in it. They are just like to be kind and very polite.

When in Hungary, stay away from bakeries, unless you wanna gain like 3 Lbs/week. :) I know it's hard to resist those coco rolls and other fresh goodness. If in doubt regarding how to salute an adult, Just say: "Jonapot (yonapot) meaning good day

I find it very interesting that every non-hungarian say that hungarians are so kind and welcoming. Yet every hungarian i know (incuding myself) say we are grumpy and rude. Are we acting like this only towards each other? Or im meeting only the grumpy half of our country? 😂😂😂

It's funny how you have an accent when you say Hungarian words, but when you say "paprikás csirke" it is just perfect!

Csókolom what you used is what we young greet the older womans. Jó napot kívánok is neutral, or if we greet a Male You comming from some warm place then you get frostbite during the strong winter weather, but -5 is normal but the cilmate change made this 0-10 Celsius also the Summer is 33 (91.4F) or if its strong 39 (96.8F) celsius our traditional food making changes where you are in the country but there is my grand mother style makings so always change. Also if you wanna learn the Hungarian language you need almost 7 year (maybe) I met a German girl once after 3 years learning she was barely told me what she want (Maybe the teacher was clumsy) Nany cart we calling as Granny Tank (Dangerous weapon of the elder womans) But we have a quote "There is Budapest around it Mordor" ( :D ) Dangerous if you go to a Gipsy zone they are could be agressive or else, but avoid the racist thing more of them is normal but there is always the "Orc" type everywhere. But about our life! We have a ruler! Viktor Orban who is a Twaat kind a dictator type the Fidesz party changed all the rules when they elected with 2/3 . I mean the election rules, and many many things what keep them do what they want. They waste money to Stadiums... maybe because they can put away easily.. middle that most of our hospital are in ruin. If you get some accident you get one of those kind maybe you get worsen because the cleaning is not the best there. Ohhh and the goverment don't want to spend money for this... last year december they maded promises about this but they started who have a N.I.N debt those peoples don't get any treat until he repay his debt... We staying home because we terrible tired! About the work we Hungarians like to be the middle european china (we more less than them but...) so we work for shit money we earn 230.000 huf in a month (743.880 $) with out tax with tax 115.000 Huf (371.912 $) it was the minimum wage what you can get with a High School degree. Also if you get work maybe the company won't pay after you (N.I.N, Tax Etc) so the Black Employment is very common in our country and very big problem. About the work time we have (if we lucky) two days off but mosty one day with 8 or 10 hour some places with 12 or more and also there is the "You can stay more a bit questions" what means overtime what is not paid mostly... About the work morale terrible the bosses are arses or idiots they have power and recently feel it to you... and if you can't do a job or you don't want to do it because it's dangerous they said some times "do it or i will find somebody else" what means you get fired... also the health and safety is just a paper if you read it that a good thing but point on some thing in work to your boss its meaningess because he still want to do that thing what is againts that.... back a bit to the salary we have another qoute for this " I will eat in this month or pay out the bills" because everything getting expensive but our salary is still worth crap. I won't mention the education system because now we turning back to the old communist way... About me: Im 29 year old i suffered enough my girl friend (She's ex now) lured me out to England i met with a normal work life i lived out almost 6 month when my family called me back because my uncle was in danger (Spine Surgery with 50% percent chance) i tried to get a job i didn't get for a long time until i went to a SPAR where i worked a week because i waited out a bigger salary work what was promissed me. When i was in the Spar everything was soul less. I mean i worked as a robot not like a human and everybody else was in the same pit. So i decided when i collected enough money i will fly back to England as soon as possible and settle down permanetly there. In January 10 th i managed it i have a work with proper salary where i can't use the Eat or Bills qoute and im feel more less depressed than i was in Hungary... but a long journey still ahead of me because i have to learn the Britton way if i want to settle down here what is interesting and exciting.
