The reason dutch people are good at english is because of our english education and the fact that most tv shows have subtitles instead of being replaced with dutch voices. We also rank very high in the 'EF English Proficiency Index' ratings. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EF_English_Proficiency_Index Been in a solid top 5 for quite some years now if I recall correctly.

It's surely a part of the reason, perhaps the main one, but I doubt English education is considerably better than in, say, Finland or Scandinavian countries (and pretty much same thing with subtitles, about half of Europe does subtitles, the other half does dubbing), yet I've noticed that the Dutch, generally speaking, speak better English compared to Nordics. Dutch and English are related as Germanic languages, and for some reason, have pretty similar prosody. Other West Germanic languages have gone different ways I suppose.

I am dutch and it is so fun to watch this. I smiled when the second guy was talking dutch because he speaks it so well. For me it is easy to pronounce "oe, ie, au, G and the R" so when a non-dutch person pronounces these in sentences I get really excited when they get it right, because it is really difficult for them. (Which most people who speak dutch don't understand, since we are used to use them.)

try learning flemish dutch its a lot easier to pronounce espacially the "G" is not in the back of your trought but a soft sound thats really easy

Belgian people are the opposite. We drop the "e" in verbs, like in thz word "kopen" we Belgians say "kopn" which is way cooler than "kope"

If you want to diffentiate between e and ee the only thing you will have to do is make your e longer so e = eh and ee = eeeehhh
