Good video. I would still highly recommend installing the gravitational pin of the carrier hook immediately. Handling without it is very dangerous-I have been in the situation a few times that the fuse was there, but it got stuck and the eye left the hook while braking.During the subsequent removal of the container there was only a big bang and the container was lying behind the car.. In addition, I worked for several years in a company producing exhausts and the correct process of welding the flex element involves even a perfect covering of the fine braid.The fine balls bouncing when welding can disrupt/overcook these fibers.Otherwise, fingers crossed-I have a similar technique in the veteran category :-) - Iveco Eurocargo 1997 hook carrier and tractor with Zetor 1979 front loader -greetings from the Czech Republic..

Truck frames are heat treated for necessary strength so you never weld to them because it can destroy the heat treatment. Welding to the flanges of the beam is OK but you should only drill into the web of the beam.

Cool truck! What is the GVWR?
@chascarpenter50062 жыл бұрын
GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating., is basically the maximum total safe weight of your vehicle, counting the curb weight (the weight of our vehicle when empty), plus the weight of your passengers, fuel, any accessories added to the vehicle, cargo, and the “tongue weight” of a tow trailer (normally 10-20% of the combined.

@dennisphoenix12 жыл бұрын
@@corywadedavis in the UK it would be 18,000 kg or 39,600 lbs as a maximum on 2 axles . It may be 17,000 kg being an old model . In Europe it will probably be the same . Just looked at a still shot of the cab , it has a 16 -182 badge . So 16,000 kg or 35,200 lbs and 182 horse power .
