SLITS! 🤗 Star Trek TNG predicted the future. Pajamas are worn daily and also the SLITS in center over foot The designers for the Star Trek tng pants added stirrups inside to hold the leg straight. Actors said it was uncomfortable but it looked very clean

My measurements put me in a place to choose and I used the straight first and then decided the curvy was best for me :)

This is a wonderful video on jeans! I have a request: would you please do a video on fitting jeans for an apple shape? I have slim hips and long slim legs and a flat seat, but I have a very large belly. It's hard to find off the rack clothes and difficult to sew jeans. I have 40" hips and 37' waist. I can sometimes get away with a very stretchy fabric and sew a size to fit my hips and let the fabric stretch to fit my waist, but it's often hit or miss and doesn't always work out. Can you help me out? I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.

It's difficult for me to create the fitting scenarios when my shape is different, but I will add this to my list. I don't usually take vide requests because I am a one woman team and it can get overwhelming.

They look great on you. Stunning! How would you adjust the pattern piece, if you need to add 5 or 6 cm to the front rise? Would you adjust exactly as you adjusted here or would you do a full belly adjustment? What happens to the zipper in that case? Should it be placed higher or should it only be longer?

Hi Karina, thank you so much for this video. Does the pattern include belt loops? Do you have a tutorial for adding belt loops please? I find them so fiddly to do as my machine doesn’t like to grab hold of the small bits of material. Any tips?

Of course it does :) I don’t add them. I don’t tuck in or need a belt so if I’m makings them custom to my needs….. I won’t sew them.

The slit at the front of the second pair of jeans looks really cool! I think one could also achieve the same result, without having to add a seam to the front, by drafting a hem facing and cutting the slit as you would for a sleeve or notched neckline. What do you think?

Yep you can do that. I was trying to save the hole on my fabric so I added a whole seam. I actually wanted the top stitching too there.

This one will be perfect. My adjustments were so minimal compared to other jeans I've made before. The tall option makes a difference.

If that is economically feasible, yes…. But if not, something with similar stretch and feel will do.

Hi Karina. Beautiful makes! Here in South Africa, we're not usually give a percentage lycra/elastane in denim, so we have to go by percentage horizontal stretch. Can you maybe give some advice? Would denim with 20% horizontal stretch work for the Legato jeans? (Btw my hubby says "Hi Karina!)

I think 20% is too much. I’d say 10-15% would be better because the negative ease is minimal.
