This garage door and opener has been finicky since we bought the house seven years ago. Had some issues the other day. So I changed the battery and started pushing buttons and lost the code. I've spent two days trying to get this keypad to work. The handheld remotes work fine. I have the same opener and keypad as your video. Genie 12A, 1/2hp Screw Drive and lift master universal keypad. I can't thank you and your video enough for your help. Just happened your video came up on my feed tonight after looking at videos for two days. Works like a champ, THANK YOU!!!!

Dip switches are kinda confusing to do this with, even the manual I don't think does that good a job at explaining it. It definitely helps to watch a video and follow along

Good catch - they were reversed. Once corrected the instructions worked like a charm with my old Moore Omatic / Delta 3 radio receiver and Chamnberlain Klik3U remote.

I have a genie universal key pad with a program button and a up and down arrow button. How do I program this model with dip switches?

To be honest, I'm not sure. The Genie Universal has built in dip switches I believe. Just match them up and see what happens.

I am trying to do this with a chamberlain wireless keypad. I have an Enter button, so should I press that or the Zero at the end?

@@vinodkumar82 without knowing your keypad, I'd guess the ENTER button is what you want to press instead of the 0.

@@artoyilmaz flip the dips opposite of what you have them now. Then try the process.
