My dad had a triple bypass the same year! He was 65 then. We lost him to cancer 6 years ago, but I thank God for those years we had with him after his heart surgery.

I do want to add a small side note, as far as makeup suggestions go, I so appreciate the hydroboost stick concealer from Neutrogena that you recommended. I picked it up the other day and it is the only concealer I have that actually works the way that I want it to. It's actually the first stick concealer that I've tried because of the fear of dryness but I never knew it would work so much better than all of the doe foot and tube concealers. Amazing news about your dad!! I used to work in a cardiac ICU taking care of tons of post bypass patients and he’s rocking it! It’s amazing how fast we make people get up and walk after such a major surgery but it really does help!

For me, light light makeup can be: concealer, undereye powder, cream blush, tinted brow gel, lip gloss, and mascara. If I have a little more time, cream bronzer and highlight, and using all of those on the eyes as eyeshadow. Preferably from a cream palette with all three in one! If I don’t want to do cream cheek products, I just use powder everywhere to set, then use powder bronzer, blush, and highlight on the cheeks and eyes. I might also use a powder foundation all over the face on top of the concealer for some extra coverage, plus setting, instead of fiddling with foundation.

I'm so glad your dad was able to have this operation and is recovering so well! Texas isn't in a position to be able to do operations on people, for any reason right now. There are zero beds available for anyone due to Rona. In fact, a veteran passed away this week because he wasn't able to get his gall bladder removed! He lived less than a mile from an ER, and they couldn't help him because they had no room💔. Then I best that your dad is doing so well, and it makes my heart feel better💜.

Yay! Happy to hear the continued good news about your dad!! We are having some of those hot & humid temps here in the Mitten State, too. My daughter Amelia moved into her first apartment today. No AC, but she has a fan. Her dad ordered a portable AC unit, which should arrive in a week. Officially in empty nest mode here, so your videos help to fill the void. Where you said why not do lipliner first? I was waving my hand, going, I know, I know! 😁 Because on me at least, opaque lipliner on first does not look good... It's a little too stark, you know? So I add around the edges and blend in after I put on lip color, too. It makes it look more natural (which of course it isn't, it just appears less noticable). 💓

I remember all 3 of my father in laws bypasses ( had a single, a double, and the quadruple was the last one) and the way he looked right after was so scary and the recovery was lengthy. pretty sure he's in for some physical therapy. They've been working with him a lot - I never realized how much activity would happen so soon after surgery!

@@emilynoel83 they don’t waste any time. they always start trying to get me out of bed the following day after surgery. it hurts more than i can explain when they start messing with my leg right after having it reconstructed back to back 3 times, but i know it’s necessary to get better. i’ve kept you and your dad in my prayers. just remember to stay as patient as possible because this takes time. it’s not easy.

@@meredithlinzay823 omg this totally made me tear up. you’re so sweet to think of me and pray for me. i’ve been having so many back to back surgeries, it’s just been insane. i’ve been in the hospital for months and i’m preparing mentally for my upcoming surgery. i’ve been a bit stressed because i need a prosthetic reallllly badly but my insurance doesn’t cover it, so my best friend started a gofundme campaign to try to help raise the amount needed. life’s crazy. i hope you’re well and enjoying every minute of life.
