Mega score! I had 2 used ones that were missing parts. Sold one. Kept one. Best thing ever.

Love them!

Now it’s time to find a company that makes awnings and see if they can make a custom cover for the unit. I have done this for a Wil-Burt pneumatic tower. Helps protect it from the elements. If there is a issue with water leakage get a can of seam sealer and coat all of the seams.

I don't think the weather will harm it at all.

my crate was rotten but i had all the parts you have in yours. thanks for the tip on the remote, i did not know thats where it went. only thing i have been looking for is the spreader bar in the manual, have not found one yet.

The bar for the M66 turret? I think I have only seen one out there. I'm sure they get scrapped! Glad yours is complete.

I really need to find one of those for my LMTV.

I just sold one on my eBay store. Went pretty cheap I think considering what I've seen them go for.

6:45. Your not using cotter pins correctly, is why. Just bend enough to create spring tension. Do NOT bend them as far as you possibly can.
@SubgunmanАй бұрын
Depending on the diameter of the pin, McMaster-Carr has some spring loaded retainer pins that could be used. Just depress the button on the end of the pin which allows a ball bearing to retract into the body allowing you to remove the pin. Have used a jumbo version in the past to mount the 1919 A4 into a pintle allowing for quick removal.

Then they will push out & it is not worth using. Cotterpins are meant to be one time use. There are better applications for this as mentioned above, or just not to be used at all. Probably a requirement for certification that isn't needed in actual application for such a small crane.

@@CallMeColtLLC I’m a certified operator and rigger, that puts together lattice boom cranes on a regular basis. Spring tension is all that is necessary. Spread the legs and point them so they will point down mostly. Gravity and spring tension do not allow the pins to float/blow away from where they were manually installed. We do not bend them as far as possible. But you do you man👍🏼

Nice how much can it pick up

They rate them for 1,500 lbs.

Think you will find the cotter pin is just packaging. none of our cranes have cotter pins
@CallMeColtLLCАй бұрын
Yeah, in reality, not needed. probably a certification requirement.
