Men do not get turned on by a witch with a mouth. Too many audiobooks use this exact character flaw in their books for the main female character. The author refers to it as "fire." The grown woman acts like a rotten girl throwing a temper tantrum. In this case, she was a very sweet girl when she was eleven. Now, she needs much more than spankings but for some reason her male counterpart falls in love with her. This is crazy makinrg and very hard to listen to until we get to the good decent woman suddenly. Then the story is very good. Why can't the writer give these women good personalities. How do the mafia men not shoot them? Lol. Thanks for the audiobook.

The mom is delusional & ungrateful; the brother is 🚮; Elira needs to got to therapy or start journaling. Great book 😂😂😂 & her best friend oversteps her boundaries. That character could've been written to be a cat 😺

Elira has to be one of the most INSUFFERABLE characters I've ever read about. I found her super annoying 😒 and honestly this book felt more like a billionaire romance than a mafia romance. All they did was drink and party for the whole book.
