love the simplicity of the texas rig... after watching this video couple of days ago, I decided to give it a try using a 3.5 gram round lead sinker, chinu no.5 hook, unpegged and no bead .... I was using a 3 inch generic paddle tail soft lure aand boy oh boy !!....with different finesse techniques you showed in this video I was the only one in our local pond that was able to land some healthy sized red belly Pacus ...doumo arigatou, sensei!

Nice video and great timing too. I just got back home from the jetty and caught 8 Calico/sand bass using a 1/4th oz texas rig. I even caught a huge keeper that is on the dinner menu tonight :)

Hello! So when you are talking about 5-7 grams, are you talking about just the sinker or the entire rig(sinker,hook, and worm)?
@AnglerWaki2 жыл бұрын
weight.

@@AnglerWaki Thank you so much! So if I'm using an 1/8 oz bullet weight with a 5" Senko on a 2/0 hook, is that considered a Light Texas Rig? Thank you again for your help!🙂

When you say that you use a "super light" rod, would that also mean an ultralight? I have trouble setting the hook on an ultralight with Texas rig
@AnglerWaki2 жыл бұрын
"Super light class" is what my rod has. It would be close to U.S. light class rod. 4 - 8 lb. Let's use light wired hooks.

@@AnglerWaki love it. Thanks! Guess I need to buy a new rod. :)
