November is my favorite, I like the colder weather. October is second even though it’s lights out fishing!

Love fishing in October eventhough hurricanes frequently foul the water. Redfish don't seem to care.... November is far better for Trout in my experience.

Absolutely love your videos. Great day of fishing even when the conditions aren’t the best. I find myself in many days like this but grind it out with my buddies and still a good day fishing is better than not fishing. Gotta say November and April is my favorite cause in Galveston we wade fish and the conditions in these months are awesome. Great video of your family recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Nothing beats a good day in December for me. Runner up is April.

I agree with you about December. The only reason it's not my No. 1 is because a higher percentage of days are marred by hard fronts than November. Definitely a great month, though, if you can pick your days.

My best fishing trips are in years with warm December's. Only setback is fog.

I like Tillamook cheese for a couple of reasons. Not only is it delicious, they treat their workers VERY well. The average worker at a Tillamook plant makes approximately $106,000 annually. Not too shabby.

Nov is great for water temp. And air temp. Also a couple days after a front the fish seem to be more active.

I have only owned a boat for a couple years so I don’t have much experience fishing from a boat in the winter but we did fish down by the Fourchon and the winter months were much better

where are you fishing at lake Catherine right or at least that’s what it looks like. It might even close that Monday. Previous to this. We finished the shoreline of Lake born up there by the railroad tracks. The line of rocks with those old pilings. It was productive, even though we had very little tide. using the magneto and the pink champagne.

Definitely October and November brother! Flounder, redfish, speckled trout… Fished every day this week except today ( Friday)… Absolutely “waxed” the flounder every day! One to two man limit each day! 10 to 20… Limits of redfish when we targeted them. Specks are slow but getting better farso! I love crab au gratin and have my grandmother’s recipe. I’ve also made it with redfish… Thanks for sharing form south Mississippi… 🕷️

I love your content i have one question about your boat i noticed when you first got it you used the aft lockers as a fieh box but now you use them as tackle storage. Did they not hold ice well or did you change it up bc of your style of fishing?
@MarshManMasson
@MarshManMasson 2 ай бұрын
Two reasons: Since I store my boat in my garage, I prefer an ice chest so I can remove it and clean it well. But really the bigger reason is I strap my rods to my deck, and don't want to have to move them every time I want to change a bait. Just easier to walk to the back.

Did you say 2 weeks on your fish storage in the fridge?
@MarshManMasson
@MarshManMasson 2 ай бұрын
Yes, provided you keep the bag of fillets surrounded by ice the entire time. This was a technique recommended to me by fisheries biologist Jerald Horst. He pointed out that when you buy fresh fish, like snapper or grouper, at a seafood market, those are fish that are caught on boats that stay offshore two weeks or more at a time. The way they keep the fish fresh is by surrounding them with ice.

I think I would bake the fish and then chop it but after I mixed it, I would’ve put it in the oven and broiled it before scattering a little shredded cheese and I would just call it redfish au gratin I can’t stand anything being displayed to me as crab meat and it’s not. It’s just my pet peeve. I don’t eat crab meat unless I catch the crab and I prepare it because I’m not much on Eating Pollock or cod.
