I do think Miyabis change mainly left her in a weird spot in general and ties her much more to Yanagi than befor. Its kinda akward to team her up with any other anomaly since it cuts her access to Caesar or Seth off completle.

Regardless, she'll be powerful enough to clear endgames despite her dmg output being a lot lower than when she has her best team and build. That's enough, imo. The problem is she's MIYABI. The most hyped and awaited agent in ZZZ so those Miyabi loyalists will not settle for any less for their favorite character esp they waited too long. Obviously they want the best for her and maximize her potential that's why I understand why they're disappointed. Well I'm a player who pulls to whoever caught my attention and doesn't care about kits and meta so these issues have nothing to do with me. I'm just glad I've pulled M0 Caesar with sigW and M2 Nagi with sigW. Astra and the robo from the idol faction are my next targets.

Miyabi still wants disorders to happen, you might aswell dont play her otherwise. So you will run her with another anoamly anyway, now it kinda has to be Yanagi specifically way more than befor. Seth also buffs anomaly mastery or proficiency? Which disorder scales of. I think he is the natural 3rd fit in a Miyabi Yanagi team.

He sacrifices his own energy to buff your party and debuff the enemy, meaning he struggles to take advantage of it. He does literally only exist to powercreep Lyacon and Koleda. He will probably bait some people who skipped Qingyi, and that's it. Really mid role when he could've stayed Attacker.

Honestly, i believe it is a blatant misconception to say that you cannot generate burn efficiently with lucy + lighter, because I’ve been testing M5 Lucy with her signature on 4pc freedom blues/2pc Swing Jazz, and AM disk 6. Basically, with koleda’s parry combo and just Lucy EX skill 2 times I’ve been getting constant burn anomaly. So I’d imagine lighter would do that efficiently too. It may not always guarantee a disorder on the fourth rotation, but I doubt enemies will survive 3 rotations with that team anyways.

There will always be ppl with different preferences. I took break fr zzz but came back as soon as lighter was dripped to get lighter as well as harumasa (because yanagi was dripped so knew that he will be next). Idc if he turns to be rm but if he does it's good. Either way ppl will pull whom they want. I am skipping miyabi for future characters and harumasa engine(if his m0 is free) otherwise getting him and hsi w-engine

I still think Lighter has more future potential than the typical "latest" dps unit (like Yanagi). Lighter + Ceasar + Fire /Ice attack will probably be a pretty decent team for a while, and EVENTUALLY there should be a limited support unit wanting either attack, stun, fire, or ice for their passive ability. (More fire/ice attack agents in the future is of course a given.)

I think Yanagi will have a place in the long run because of her disorder Amp, which no other unit has rn. So unless new anomaly characters also come with disorder damage Amp, then she'll remain relevant

If he was an Attack agent with his Morale boosting his own fire dmg, I would have said “Shit, I really really need him” it’s a simple passive like S11 but those fire punches would have done wonders with other support agent and a powerful attack engine But a stunner? A support stunner? Ellen being the first limited banner and the only Ice Dps make it extremely hard for those without her like me to pick him up when Miyabi is literally right after him

Yeah.... Lighter and Burnice was supposed to be a strong duo for Miyabi, now Miyabi best team is with Yanagi and unfortunately not many people have Yanagi. This is actually bad for Miyabi because limiting her teams makes her harder to use and its hard to make a f2p team with Miyabi because she doesn't have that many options

I was about to try starting a ZZZ account right at lighter's banner and then try to get both him and miyabi, but this "extra ability" thing destroys all my willingness to do so. lol no you wont get shafted for playing characters you like so long you spend time building and learning to play em additional abilities wont make or break your gameplay experience theyre just a nice buff for having certain units together in the same team but by no means a must to clear any content currently in the game by nature solo runs never rely on additional ability and theres always ppl doing em for almost every unit including stunners like lighter so imo play and pull who you like w no worry

Honestly I hate this “special ability” mechanic. The more factions we get it the future the more annoying it will become cos it will make it harder and harder to use older faction characters or limit team building for no reason. Lighter/Miyabi situation will just keep happening

If you have S11, Lighter is a no brainer. If you have and like Ellen, there’s no reason to make a lateral move by getting Miyabi when you can help improve her team or at least diversify her options with Lighter and maybe invest further into Ellen’s mindscapes or get her engine if you don’t already. You say you don’t have S11 or Ellen, well believe it or not, some people do have them and it’s possible they don’t have Lycoan which means someone with Ellen and no Lycoan would love to get Lighter. Lighter’s personal dps wont be too shabby either. Support characters also usually remain viable longer than DPS characters anyways. It’s really disingenuous to downplay and warn against people getting Lighter for such weak reasons. Love your videos but this one was not it…

I have Ellen Joe....but I also have C1 Lycaon, I have Soldier 11....but I also have Koleda and i don't even enjoy soldier 11 playstyle. He's coming out with a pretty useless kit (for now) because a stunner that is limited to 2 characters for which there are already stunners in the game that and right before 1 of the most anticipated characters in the game just makes me think his sales/pulls are going to be extremely low.

Im in the same situation though slightly different. Im a relatively new player with Caesar and Yanagi being my only limited S ranks. The only reason I rolled for Yanagi was because I needed another DPS to build around to challenge Shiyu. If Lighter was a DPS, id skip Yanagi in a heartbeat. Yanagi is hot and all, but not as hot/cool as Lighter. I realy want Lighter but I have nothing on my team that can make use of him.

All of these characters aren't exactly glued to these characters to function. Arguably, Caesar is way better for Jane than Seth, or Burnice+Lucy. That being said, I got Yanagi for me. Miyabi can go to hell as nothing about her sparks my interest.

the issue isn't Miyabi specifically not working with Lighter. It's the lack of ANY characters that work well with him, besides an outdated limited S-Rank that already has a super good stunner, and a mainbanner unit that a lot of people don't have or care for.

@ProtoTypeFM That's a fundamental design flaw. Let's not forget he was initially planned to be an A rank, but was promoted so Hoyo won't need to put out an Ellen rerun right before Miyabi. He can also work with Burnice and Jane/Piper in one team, though he isn't fully utilizing his capabilities but will suffice. Limiting him to fire and ice is his strength and weakness, but with the current roster, it is definitely a weakness

Maybe he's for future characters like Padme(coping she's a Fire Attacker). But def gonna complain if they shaft my boy like this. Hoping they rework the additional ability requirments like they did with the ultimates because its unnecessarily restrictive for team building. Sure they got data from Genshin and HSR that ppl typically play one team and stick with it, but they can still choose which characters can be played with each other.
