This is very helpful! Please do more of this substance to unreal videos.. Next week I start as a surfacing artist at a studio using unreal engine. I know they're gonna provide training..But this video shows everything I need to know about bringing my textures from Substance and hook them up in unreal. THANK YOU!

you should use FBX workflow for IO, its much easier and cleaner then just using raw OBJS. nice job btw. ThumbsUp

Do you do one on one teaching?

You need to change the preset on the stacked texture to masks or turn off sRGB otherwise it won't give you the correct values for AO, Metallic or Roughness. Wasn't sure if you did that or not.

Hi great video. Is the Sphere reflection capture is a default thingy? Or do we need to set that before the lighting process?

I see. Haven't had a chance to try. The goal for doing practice like this is to specifically to learn unreal.

Gonna learn one thing at a time. Just unreal for now.

Wow, great work! I'm also impressed with the realtime speed of the rendering. I would like to know what Graphic Card are using. I want to upgrade.

I have learnt a lot with your work! by the way, any plans on using future materials like stone or not so shiny textures? it would be useful to know how to blend them in a realistic way, for statues or architecture!
@ArtruismDigital3 жыл бұрын
I have another ue4 video with statue in it. Just couple videos ago.

Hello, when you say you separated the pieces into their own UDIM do you mean their own individual tile? It confused me because you said you weren't using UDIMs inside Unreal so I'm just asking for a better understanding of your process personally. Great work BTW!

Nice one! Love the model but two things kinda don't feel right imho. The hair's surface pattern looks like a bad garage 3d printing and not high-tech at all. Second one is a rusty/wear-off texture on the edges of that neck thing. Which combined gives the model feel more of a not new porcelain figure than the plastic android. Anyway great work! :) Keep it up! :)
