I've been watching lots of videos about how things are done in Japan. These hardworking people deserve nothing but happiness, success and prosperity. Greetings from a big fan in Mexico.
Very clean and well organised. A pleasant and friendly atmosphere and excellent camera work. I've never seen so much gravy and shortage of green vegetables in a Japanese restaurant before, but that's obviously what the customers prefer here.
Absolutely fantastic place. The work ultra hard making a varied menu that all looks so delicious.

In the US, “Fast” food or cafeteria food is all frozen at a factory, shipped and reheated. This is all completely from scratch and hand made. Incredible speed and quality from these hard working chefs. That omelet flip was absolute perfection. Thank you for posting this wonderful example of what good fast food can and should be.

Eh you're mixing up fast food with cafeteria offerings. Cafeterias tend to make everything from scratch, especially breakfasts. If you get to Hyde Park, Chicago, take a bite at Valois...it's an institution there for decades...and you can watch them make what you order. Pretty tasty.

@@vicbanks9079 Solid response, Vic. I used to go to Chicago for work, but I retired from the Fed and now work at a bank. Pretty solid restaurant options there in Chicago. My wife would fly over (from Phoenix, AZ) on the weekends. She adored Navy Pier. I thought the U-Boat exhibit was AWESOME. Anyway.... I hear you on the fast food versus cafeteria. Fair response.

@@vicbanks9079 Gads, Boss. Wish I could remember. I traveled 200+ night's out per year, for 33 years. All over the U.S. Couldn't remember all the different places. I just recall Chicago as having some good Italian places downtown. Peace.
Well-organized kitchen with a feeling of controlled expertise and knowledgeable staff! This is one of the best commercial kitchens I have seen on KZbin! Thanks for sharing!

Not really, they are all over. Tired of people always going "US bad, everywhere else is good". Also, the food workers weren't wearing gloves, which is a severe health code violation. If one of the workers is sick, YOU as the customer are going to get sick too...they even handle money AND the food without washing their hands! Money has so much germs on it

I was looking through the comments to see if anyone else recognized the cafeteria and chef. "Employee Cafeteria" was the second episode of the then-new program Lunch ON!; it aired on April 23, 2013. The full video has been uploaded on DailyMotion.
