# Lightning quick # Gold trip # Did the Old guy stick around ?

I ventured back to the creek because my curiosity got the better of me as to see if the Old Prospector i helped out that fell over in the creek the last time i was there , had worked any of the area i worked in the last time , and that would have been an indication as to whether he stuck around or he went home after his fall . You will have to watch the video if you would like to know what happened .

Don’t have to think about it to give it a thumbs up that’s automatic mate. Lightning is crazy I was watching a storm from a window and saw it strike the road (wasn’t raining on that side of the storm ) the next day I went and looked at the road and there was a 5/8ths inch perfectly round hole (1.58 cm) 😳 inside the hole was a grey super fine powder like ash the bolt had completely vaporized the asphalt and the powder smelled just like sulfur. Not bad gold at all for a morning go of it that spot is still giving out. Great adventure thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼

Nice day there ned ay cooler white the overcasting Getting a few bits too nice You need that reducer I use for the cracks But the one with the two sizes one that fits the pump then reduces to the next size down Then cut it short or medium length heat it up squash it into a crevice shape 1/2” or 10 mill opening I carry a length of it so to make longer or shorter ones on the go You can take it off when need to suck up lots then when cleaned out stones suck up the gravel And clean it right out cost $5 Yes that is exactly what I was talking about those gravel mess on bedrock Unsightly unnecessary dangerous for everyone That’s why I did not film much was a mess and river black mould goes black as soon as you touch it No run in the river to clear it out either Idea too take a sluice up and shovel into it ay Nice day mate just in the middle of refitting caravan New fridge and table seating new car and a 7000 detector on way second hand but lol Cheers 🍻 CrouchOz

G'day Dropbear , i don't think there's any fires out there at the moment , there certainly wasn't when i was there , however it's pretty dry and there is always the potential for a fire , gotta be careful with the campfires . Yeah , i probably won't be going out this weekend because iv'e been out about 4 times this month , and the next time i go out i'm going to another area iv'e had in mind for a long time , just wanna check it out that's all . G'day Jason , yes it's relatively easy to work , and that suits me fine , lol ,😂 The ASDR Pan holds heaps mate , it's great !!! My back is good at the moment but my energy levels are dropping fast . Well maybe not a big deal for some , but i don't think there's any need to throw classified material on top of the bedrock , throw it back in the water . It's dangerous for kids ,if they step on it they will slip and fall , plus it looks messy , the farmers see that shit all over the place and they will shut it down and stop us going on their land . I agree about the rubbish , and i've taken home my fair share of other people garbage . I can't believe some of the crap iv'e found over the years , but my pet hate is beer bottles , which means broken glass which means slashed feet . Not a good experience from my experience . I suppose it's entirely up to the individual to do what they feel is right , i think most miners try to keep their nests clean and restore the environment to as close as possible as they found it . Because a creek or River always looks better to me if it looks like nobody has been there whether or not they have , and if i waste my time then it's because i didn't look in the right place .Because as you said a bit of rain returns the gravels to the water but it also will bring in more gold , but in a lot of those areas it doesn't rain heavy that often , so the mess on the bedrock remains there a long time , and the more people do it the crappier it looks . That's just the way i feel about it , and the whole problem is that the dogooders and Greenies out there in KZbin land see what we miners do for a hobby and they think we are harming the environment , so i don't want to give them an excuse to take away our pleasure , because i can assure you Governments and Authorities are watching through these mediums everything we do , and are looking for excuses to shut anything and everything down . Anyway this is not a lecture , but hopefully just a bit of an eye opener , give it some thought , it's already happening to some prospectors , the rules and regulations will only increase if we don't do the right thing by our hobby for future generations . A bit like catch and release fishing , i thought was absurd ( once ) but we soon realized it's responsible fishing , thinking of others is the key . Cheers Buddy 👍.
