For me, personally, this was the best video I have ever watched to help me wrap my head around light painting and what can be achieved! I am a horrible artist, but I absolutely love the concept of light painting. To have a whole new avenue to create these types of photos, is a gift from the heavens!

Awesome! One thing I'm frustrated with is my A7rii making me disconnect my remote to view the photo... each time. I saw you using some kind of monitor that developed as you went. What is that and where can they be purchased?
@LightPaintingPhotography Жыл бұрын
That is actually just a screen recording of an app on my iPhone. I use it to show the process sometimes, not good quality but it can show a live representation of the process. The app is called "Light Painting" by WOW Stuff. Something that you might consider checking out is lightpaintlive.com

Very cool looking. I didn't see the crystal light pen on the web site and since I don't have a crystal light pen, would a LPB light pen work for the eyes?
@LightPaintingPhotography4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, The regular light pens will give a very similar effect, they will absolutely work to illuminate the eyes! The new Crystal Light Pens are a bit longer , they have a slightly different texture of light and I think they look way cooler... :) We should have them up on the website in a day or two!

Cool video. Soo much good tips. Please, can you tell me the name of the software that you use to see the lightpainting strokes live
@LightPaintingPhotography4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed the video and found it useful. The way I recorded the movement of light is using a app on my phone called "Light Painting" it is by a company called "Wow Stuff". The app shows a live preview of the Light Painting and I did a screen recording while I was using the app to create the video recording of the Light Painting Process. Its not the best quality but it gives a good visual for Tutorials. :)

1:58 Can you get a tool that is able to angle /bend/is flexible at the end, would make positioning of the hand more relaxed? Ty for fantastic video.
@LightPaintingPhotography3 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen anything like that, its a great idea though. I am sure with some tweaking I could make something from the local hardware store! Thanks for the idea and comment!

Are there any alternative torches which are available in the UK?
@LightPaintingPhotography3 жыл бұрын
You can use ANY light that is relatively round and has a head diameter of .975" - 1.5" (Inches) A couple of my favorite lights are the Soonfire DS30 and the Soonfire MX66 I am not sure if they are available in the UK. I did a quick Amazon UK search and it looks like the FENIX PD35 is a good option.
