I took notes on his radio sermons (got books of 'em : ) and sometimes I'd hear the same sermon twice (morning & evening) if I missed something. All these decades later, he's only gotten better at what he does. He knows the original Biblical languages, and helps us understand God's awesome Word. [I received a free copy of his study Bible - the notes are very helpful.]

Mr. Spacebo, this is a great verse. Don't pay attention to Ortiz, he's a mindless antagonist. I've seen his bogus comments in other threads and they are all of the same nature. Of course, seems like you already knew better than to respond to his silly baseless attempt at accusation. But my purpose in responding is to take this verse even deeper. "No one comes to the father except through me." This means we cannot know who we truly are except through the revelation of Christ. If we hold any ideas of ourselves being anyone then we are wrong and it restrains us from coming into the knowledge of God's truth (Gal. 6:3.) But yet, God already knew us to be who we are within Himself from before the foundations of the world (Eph. 1:4, 2:10; Rom. 8:29; Heb. 4:3.) So, to come into the knowledge of the Father means to understand who we already were and always have been in Him even from before entering into the world. The knowledge of God supersedes our sin because He already knew us to be who we are within Himself before any of it occurred. This is the knowledge that we ourselves need to come into the possession of and only through genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ can it be revealed to us. John spoke of this in his 3rd epistle when he wrote, "I write to you fathers because you have known him who is from the beginning."

Do they realize that perfectly ties into a pride issue? No wonder he doesn’t see the importance of the blood of Christ. He thinks that his works will determine his value. He thinks that he can do it without God. The only value anyone has is through the blood of Christ so that no one may boast. The will of our Father is that the world may be saved through the shed blood and finished work of Christ- not some elected people will be saved and the rest go to hell. If you were predestined, then there is no need for repentance. He’s calling Jesus a liar with his doctrines of elect. Heresy… We would be nothing but robots if we were predestined, and Christ would be a mistake if there is no sin to atone for since predestination overrides the judgement of Christ. Didn’t the Father give that power to His Son? MacArthur’s sermons and interpretations of the scripture are ripe with spoil. Learning to live by the Spirit vs the letter of The Law is what he doesn’t understand bc he’s too busy pointing fingers and passing judgment on others, just like the Pharisees and Sadducees.

+Rhys051777 An offense against an infinite being, makes it an infinite offense, and an infinite offense requires an infinite punishment. You make it sound as if we like the idea of Hell, out of all the doctrines in the Bible, the hardest to swallow is Hell, but that doesn't mean we will deny it (well some do). Hell is also a place where a person will be in their ultimate depraved state, and will continually sin against God, so in that way you also will keep needing to be punished. You may need to look into "Total Depravity" to understand what I'm talking about. By what standard are you judging God? Your own arbitrary standard? Things like unjust, immoral, these things don't make sense in a world without absolute moral standards, and in a world without God (Moral Giver), morals then all become relative, unjust and immoral don't really mean anything. Also as side note, most people wouldn't want to go to Heaven, seeing as Heaven is all about God. If someone doesn't want God while here on earth, what makes someone think they'll want Him when they die? You see everyone wants to go to Heaven, they just don't want God to be there when they get there.

You know they have made changes to comply? Most of the issues are not presented with details or counter facts. It would be unwise to make damning judgements from the word of one side. That would be unbiblical. I have been through enough life to know that most of those criticisms could easily be honest mistakes and the bullying and fear can easily be misunderstandings, miscommunication and rebellion. Especially in today's climate of social justice and perceived personal rights and freedoms. Thanks for pointing something like this out. accountability is very important. Macarthur has emphasized that many times. Lets see how him and his school live it out. Obviously it will never be to everyones satisfaction.

At the start of the Mass we often see the entrance procession being lead by someone carrying the "Book of Gospels" which contains the readings from the bible including the Gospels. The symbolism is that we are being lead by the Word of God. ALL the sacraments are in response to this ... The Eucharist is based on John 6 Where Jesus says 3 times you must eat my body and drink my blood AND 14 other biblical passages that support the Holy Eucharist.

(VSS 13-40). The Holy Spirit works in people's hearts.

Thank you, for we are strengthened by your sermons of the true Jesus Christ. Thankfully we came out of mormonism in the last 2 years, after being in this false religion for several years, and back into true Christianity that we grew up with in our youth. The Bible from front to rear has Jesus Christ woven thru it with what He did, is doing, and what He will do. Jesus IS THE way, THE truth and THE life. He IS the only way back to the Father. Why would Jesus so willingly have taken on every sin and taken the wrath for us all and shed His precious innocent blood and not be our sole mediator to the Father and His internal kingdom? The true gospel of Jesus Christ is so simple and believable that if you're surrendered until Him it will be made known to you thru the Holy Spirit. We have a wonderful peace and joy now in knowing that Jesus Christ saves and not second guessing if our works were enough. Hallelujah!

Well I think that would be a shame if it were true. Anyone can change their name to "Jesus" or name their newborn child "Jesus " Plus I think there are at least a thousand different names and/or titles referring to the same man other than Jesus. Such as Immanuel or Yeshua or Joshua.... Why can't everyone go to Heaven without having to go through Jesus....? Why can't we all go to heaven as all of God's children? Why would God be so cruel ? What about children whom never got the chance to learn the "gospels" or the name Jesus Christ ??
