This is, both, my favorite and least favorite version of "Like a Rolling Stone". I love the passion. I love the back-up singers. I hate the band. I hate the mechanics that went into this performance. This performance could have been much better with a five-piece band. That '78 tour remains a beautiful enigma. Did Bob Dylan think that he was competing with Neil Diamond? Robby Robertson produced them both. "Beautiful Noise" is one of the worse-produced albums of all time. On a scale of talent-to-success ratio, Robbie Robertson has got to be way up in Lucky-ass-Pixie territory.
