Hi Diana, I would never have watched your channel if you hadn't been introduced in bitesize chunks via the Minimal Mom on Sundays. As someone who doesn't know the Bible and hasn't really been to church since childhood, I find your channel amazing and inspiring. You bring each and every word to life and have got me interested in learning more about the Bible. Thank You for bringing the Bible into the 21st century and making it relevant to us all, the converted and us 'newbies'. All the effort you put in with extra pictures, videos and printed words etc is worth it.

There are times in our lives where something comes out just right. For example, you go to the store to find something and they have exactly the amount you need, or you are measuring something and the fit is exactly the space you need. When this happens to me, I thank God for His perfection and it is a cue for me to know that He is God and I am not and to relinquish control over whatever it is I'm struggling with. Thank you Diana, I have been enjoying your appearances on Dawn's videos and am glad to see you have branched out. You clearly are gifted for this.

I love the mental picture of the vine dresser lifting up the vine. As a gardener, I know that when branches droop towards the ground, they are more likely to be attacked by pests and mildew because of contact with the ground and poor circulation. When I lift them up and support them or prune them back, they can produce healthy fruit.

Sirens going by has always been a trigger for me as well. Lately, when I wake up in the morning, before I need to be up, I usually talk to God, thank him for that little bit of quiet time and for allowing me to enjoy being able to go back to sleep for a little bit. I don't have kids, but I baby-sit my nieces, so I've done the monitor thing as well. :)

Thank you Diana, it is clear to me that you have the gift of teaching The Gospel. I was raised going to church but my spirit was not fully feed the word in a way for me to understand not blaming the teachers or preachers . I feel that that is why there is so many different styles of teaching and I just wanted to let you know that you make it very easy to relate and understand the word. Thank you so much my spirit hungers for that closer walk with the Lord . It sad to say how I was raised in church so I have the faith foundation but I didn’t grow and mature spiritually but I truly am longing for a closer relationship with the Lord . So I am thankful that the Lord has put this on your heart . I get up and spend time in the morning doing a couple devotionals and listen to my worship music. Sure I might miss some days but I sure feel more connected when I start May Day and end it with the Lord. 🙏🤗

I think sometimes it seems harsh to "prune away" but I've learned so much about this from watching my husband tend to our fruit trees. It's really brought these passages to life. He's not pruning in a hateful way, it's actually loving, carefully assessing and selecting what is beneficial and what is not to the betterment, growth and fruit production of the tree. It's actually quite moving to watch and to contemplate what Jesus is saying in scripture. I'm so enjoying your channel Diana and can't wait to learn more!

Cue: after getting sorted in the morning and making my coffee. I sit down and pray. On Sundays, soon as I wake up I play the Minimal Mom :) (sadly now, this routine will change). Also, now I pray whenever I get the urge or when something good happens. I have gotten a lot of “jet skis” and realize that they dont happen coincidentally as frequent as I have experienced it. Thank you for breaking the verses down with references on the wording. This can be so easily misinterpreted. Between you teaching and the Bible Recap, I realize how much I have been misunderstanding God and so much to learn. Great guidance is a must in learning the Word. :)

May God continue to bless you and your family, Diana, as you as you prepare videos to bless all of us! Loved the smart watch analogy - bringing us closer to God! Appreciate the new ideas in the comments - thanks everyone! My reminders: when my feet touch the floor in the morning to thank God for a new day and ask Him what surprises He has in store for me? When my head touches the pillow at night, I thank Him and marvel at the unexpected joys of the day! Driving: I thank Him for my green lights - at red lights I pray for those who cross by and have to chuckle because they have no idea someone is praying them on their way! Have a great week everyone and enjoy the surprises God has in store for you!

Diana, this abiding prayer teaching reminded me of times when my children were still in the crawling stages and I would find something in the carpet that could pose a danger ⚠️ like a straight pin fallen unnoticed in my sewing area! When I pulled it out of my foot without hesitation I praised and thanked God that I had stepped on it to discover it and not my babies 👶. Constant contact with God is a huge principle in Alcoholics Anonymous for a reason...God works in our favor especially when we “abide” in Him. We pray as a family before every meal, it’s a song prayer that the kids love, it’s got actions, clapping and all. Getting in the car my husband and I pray as we leave for safe traveling mercies. We also pray for the people we are off to visit or on Saturday kids sports day we pray for safety and protection, joy and peace for everyone there. When I look at the night sky that’s a great reminder to pray. When bad things happen, I am training myself to say “thank you Jesus” Because it says in the Bible ‘ in everything give thanks’

I love the translation, where it says: All things that you ask straightly, directly, from inside my name, you will be given. So far you have not done this. Ask without hidden motive and be surrounded by your answer. Be enveloped by what you desire, that your gladness be full. (Un-edited Aramaic translation) And I love the way, Gregg Braden explains this phrase. How you should ask not out of your ego, but out of your heart and how you can surround yourself with the answer by thought and emotion. =)

That was a great explanation of abiding in prayer. I often hear people talk about needing to pray more. I didn’t really get that. I pray about things all the time. It might be “Please God help me find my keys” or “please God only bring good influences into my children’s lives”. I am always asking for help. My niece once asked me to pray for something. I really don’t think she thought she could just pray to God herself. She is not a believer. It broke my heart. The creator of everything is one prayer away. I explained that to her. I told her she can pray to God as well. He loves her just as much as me. You we do awesome Diana!

Wow, I never knew that it was a command to ask God for our hearts desires! How intimate he wants to know us. Diane, about a year ago you had shared that you were looking for a Nanny and you wrote down what you longed for in one and God gave you the "more abundantly than all that you could ask or think" in a nanny. I took encouragement from that and wrote down everything that I wanted in a sitter for my little princess and in a day God answered my prayer with someone who fits every single thing my heart desired! Thank you for sharing your testimonies! Also for being like Jesus and using something we can all relate to and see everyday (smart watches are the new vines!). Lol so happy you're doing a channel! This is beautiful, Diana! Although I grew up in the church and have had a relationship with Jesus my whole life, over the past couple years I have gotten very cynical and doubtful of my faith. I am embarking on a journey, although a gentle one, in opening back up to Jesus and softening to his voice while strengthening my faith. I believe that the launch of your channel and your devotionals is timed perfectly, as I'm not quite ready to just read the Bible without guidance of what to go through yet. Thank you for following His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

I am so thankful to Jesus that you and your sister have done a prayer time on youtube, as Karen Deeble said that is how I was introduced to you and fell in love with your teachings. Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Hi Diana, i just found your channel today and have already watch 3 of your videos. The past few days I had been praying on how to start and find a bible study that I could follow and today your channel popped up as a recommendation. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and knowledge. Oh and these are the times I pray: everytime I go to the bathroom, take a shower, go on my daily walks and work in my yard and flowerbeds. 🙏🏼

My morning cue is when I turn off my sleep monitor on my phone. My evening cue is praying just before going to bed. Of course ambulances, but also whenever I feel God has brought someone to mind to pray about. God and I have rambling conversations all day long, but I like the idea of making it even more intentional. I'm going to try the smart watch cue.

Your description of what John 15 is about was a great capsulation for context. Well done, Diana. I wish you great success with your channel. And I'm praying for you!

I am loving your style of teaching and explaining the Word of God. It is easy to understand and it makes so much sense to me. Thank you for being you and bringing this study to us. I might just have to get that watch that you have!

I love this! Thank you, Diana! Just what I need right now! Prayer has never been a strong point for me. I can read and study the Bible for hours, but when it comes to prayer I just tend to put it off. I'm really looking forward to more teaching videos from you. Bring them on!
