Oh sweetheart, as a middle aged traumatized person who spent much of my life feeling I wasn't worthy of love and protection, let me tell you YES YOU ARE WORTHY OF LOVE (and acceptance and protection and all the other things you've probably missed out on). The important people in your life who failed to love and protect you failed to do so because they were incapable of it due to their own issues not because you weren't worthy. And there is absolutely hope for a good life for yourself, for loving friends and a partner if that is what you want.

I love what her Pawpaw said - they were going for ordinary but they're extraordinary ❤️ that's a good pawpaw right there! My pawpaw died a few years ago, and he was a very Christian man from West Virginia, born in the late 20s. when my cousin came out as a lesbian, he had a difficult time at first - the whole "you're welcome in my house but not your girlfriend" type of thing. But he ended up coming around after seeing them together and how happy she was. It took him a bit of time, but he realized that he loved his granddaughter more than to not have her (and whoever she loved) in his life over his religion. And yes, he ended up welcoming both of them into his home with open arms. I didn't come out as bi until a couple years ago, but I wish he was still here because I know he'd love me just the same.

I cried so much during this video. The love you two share is so unbelievably beautiful and respectful. It is a love that I want to have in my life one day. I especially admire how you each honor the other's inner children and create so much safety to honor them in. I have also experienced a lot of sexual abuse and I dissociate often during sex. The fact that you each honor each other, meeting the other as they are and stop immediately when dissociation occurs during sex is such an act of deep love and respect for the other person. I love that sex is not thought of as an obligation and does not have to occur on any sort of schedule in your relationship for there to be an immense amount of love present. You two are so unbelievably beautiful. The relationship you two have is such an inspiration for me and just reaffirms that there is a person who will love me and respect me exactly as I am. Thank you for your vulnerability

Love that use of the word "extraordinary!!" Very moving video. Thanks so much for the vulnerable and important human heart stories this channel showcases! "This is my safe place." So beautiful to hear someone say their favorite thing their partner does is trusting enough to speak their needs like "ouch" or "no" in ways they themselves had trouble doing for years.
