For everyone who doesn't know yet: Not only did Angelina get the golden buzzer from judge Heidi Klum, but she also received huge praise from the remaining members of the legendary Queen. Queen were delighted with Angelina's arrengement and shared it on Twitter with the words "WOW, what a rendition" (three years later they repeated their praise on TT in March 27th 2023 with the words "absolutely killed it".) What was unfortunately not to be seen here, all four judges came on stage to congratulate Angelina (very rarely). 👣💯 *AJ* 💯👣 BTW, Angelina released her version of Bohemian Rhapsody with permission from Queen on January 24th, 2020 under her own label ANGELINA JORDAN INC. shortly after Angelina celebrated her 14th birthday. At the beginning of I Put a Spell on You you see Angelina writing down something. That was her writing down her arrangement of the song and giving it to the band as to how she wanted the song played. The remaining members of Queen was so impressed with her arrangement that they gave Angelina the right to this version ❤❤👣❤❤

That was a great reaction Juan. In addition to her amazing vocal skills, her arranging skills are off the charts. She has been doing the arrangements for her performances since she was 7 yo, maybe earlier. The candle she was holding at the beginning of IPASOY, had a picture of Screamin' Jay Hawkins, the original singer/songwriter of the song from the 1950's, not Salvador Dali. She was barely 9 in that video Where you could still hear a bit of a child's voice, but by late 10 yo, most fans believe she had lost any remnant of a child's voice. Her shortened "cover" of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT-The Champions was so good that Queen posted on their website, "Wow what a rendition," then they gave her the copyright to this arrangement, so this is her song. The video you watched had the last judge's comments (Heidi Klum) cut as she gave her the "Golden Buzzer" sending her straight to the finals. As Angelina continues to grow and develop her talent, it becomes more and more difficult to point to a "top ten" or so. In fact, most fans will claim they have anywhere from 50+ to 100+ songs in their "Top 10". Despite this, I still steadfastly incude these two performances in my top 3 Angelina performances. BR is number 1 and "Spell" is number 3. My number 2, btw, is "Summertime" on NGT. Many angels prefer a different version of Summertime (either with KORK orchestra or a concert live version). But her NGT version hits me like BR hit you (and me as well). Enjoy this journey. She is very special!

Juan, when someone listens to Angelina the following things occur, to feel goosebumps, begin to tear up with an urge to cry and find it difficult to speak normally during or right after she sings 'for you'. 'For you' because the feeling inside someone while they are listening to her creates a very personal connection between her and the listener. I know that's what happened to you. Juan, two things, she did the arrangement of the song and because this was a talent show each act was allowed a certain amount of time. In Angelina's case she sang the song in a little over two minutes.

Juan, Angelina captivates me from the first note, every time. It is like she puts me under her spell. She is much more than a top tier vocalist and storyteller. She is a great writer and arranger, and we saw evidence at the start of the video for "I Put a Spell On You" with her writing her 'wishes' for how she wanted to sing the song. Angelina is very humble and filled with empathy. Here is the reason why she always performs barefoot. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina replied, whenever she goes on stage to sing, she will be barefoot to remind her of her new friend, and all other children like her. Angelina never learned the orphan's name but called her Princess. The orphan girl replied, "princesses live in castles, we live in ruins". Angelina titled her song about this story, "Princess of Ruins". Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. For I Put A Spell On You - Angelina was 9 years old - Her nationality is Norwegian but is fluent in English even at this age - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the vocal arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version and communicated to the band how she wanted it to be played - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes "her wishes" and it is read by the recording producer/engineer. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. For more insight into how Angelina works, here is a rehearsal video with some of the same band members at the same age (9 yrs old) - You will see that she is aware of what each musician is doing and communicates to them what she wants to do. The first thing she says is that she wants to start, followed by her saying she wants to start over, later she tells the pianist that the key is too low and that she wants to raise it a half-tone, then at the end of the song she changes the ending on the fly. Thank you Juan ,yes she is incredible, we have all run out of words for her, the face on the candle at the beginning of "i put a spell on you" was the original artist Screaming J Hawkins , Angelina created the arrangement herself after listening to the original at the start of the video you see her writing some notes that was her last minute changes to the arrangement, the band called her affectionately the boss . out of all the covers of this song Angelina's is the closest to Screaming J it is considered the greatest performance ever by a 9 year old , Her rendition of Boeheim Rapsody again her own unique arrangement in her own unique style the remaining members of Queen posted Wow what a rendition and gave Angelina the copy right to her version , She is like no other child singer she is amazing at any age . the angels will give you plenty of info for what to do next.💜👣😇

❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 I was a 63 year old classic rock listener a couple of years ago. I had never used any sort of social media and had heard the word KZbin but really didn't know what it was. I got a new TV that had KZbin on it, so I thought I would check it out, and after a while, I stumbled across the video of Angelina singing I Put A Spell On You and was just stunned. I was sort of thrown into an existential crisis where I thought, "Do you really have a full understanding of reality?" I watched a few more videos of her, and then, just like you, I came across Bohemian Rapsody and had a similar reaction. Fast forward two years, and now I have flown to LA this past September 20th to see her concert. It was the most enjoyable concert I have ever been to, better than the Rolling Stones, I would say. Now I listen to Angelina every day and she is my favorite singer. There is nobody else who is currently alive and performing that can cause me to experience such deep emotions as Angelina can. I don't know if you like Christmas music, but there is an EP of hers called Driving Home For Christmas, in which she sings classic Christmas songs in a jazzy way. All of the songs on the EP are from a Christmas special live stream when she was 15, except for the title track where she is 17. She is accompanied by professional and very experienced musicians, some of whom played with Etta James and Frank Sinatra. Thank you for reviewing Angelina's music. It is very enjoyable to watch someone else have the same experience that I had. Keep going, it continues to impress, I promise you that there are other wonders ahead for you and any of your viewers who haven't yet heard of Angelina. God bless. Great reactions my friend. You watch some of the wonderful early and later iconic performances by our beautiful barefoot princess. Her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody on America's got talent earned her a golden buzzer from Heidi Klum. Unfortunately, because of her wonderful parents asking Simon not to sign her to his label because they wanted her to pursue her education for another couple years before she decided on her musical Journey. I think this definitely affected her not winning the competition because she was easily. the best performer there that year. Most importantly, the band Queen gave her the rights to her own version and they thought it was absolutely fantastic. This shows you the true gravity of this young lady who is able to take covers and refresh them and re-cover them with her own natural vocal dynamics and give them such a more emotional impact to her audience because she is the supreme storyteller. This is Angelina's strength in her vocal delivery. As you can see on stage she is so natural, poised confident and fearless in her delivery. Nothing phases her about her. She was born to sing live as she has for the last ten years ! She's been a tremendous live performer. Keep posting my friend. Crazy thing is she is mostly self taught. I believe her inspiration and ability to connect with people is derived from her family. Mostly her grandmother who was considered a child prodigy is and a successful painter with many depictions of people helping people. Her vocal talent derived from god given physical attributes but honed by spiritual beliefs of giving to others and an extremely intense pursuit of perfection through hard work and practice. The mere fact that her family supported her and protected her, trying to give as normal a childhood as possible, is a testament to the importance of family in a child’s (and any person’s) life. Like all great artists, Angelina is able to evoke powerful emotions. She just uses her voice.

Juan, even if band members knew of her reputation when she was 8 or 9 years old, when they first saw her in person they must have been shocked to believe they would be playing serious music for such a 'young person', perhaps a 'child' would be a better way to describe who she was. But, we know by the end of their first rehearsal (which contained changes Angelina made to the musical score) they certainly realized, OMG, what do we have here!? To say this performance was unique is the understatement of the Century, don't you agree? Yes, this was no longer a nice, sweet kid singing a song. Rather, it was a solid performer who obviously had been working at her craft for many a day and the results were magnificent. Then, Juan, you decided to also play Angelina singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on the AGT/Champions Show when she was 13. I watched you in the corner of the screen smiling and then your smile became more of a expression of awe. Your chest started expanding and I could see you were getting emotionally moved by her performance. Juan, let me stop there and share something with you. Goosebumps, tearing up with an urge to cry and finding it difficult to speak during or just after an Angelina performance is something which has happened to millions of people all around the world. When I first hear it years ago I started crying not even 10 seconds into the song. Our hearts are touched by her soulfulness and that soulfulness turns into a form of love in it's purest sense and there is no escape. From that point on whenever you listen to her sing she will draw you into her world. The key word to describe this phenomenon is 'genuine'. She is all about love and we feel that with all our heart. When the remaining members of Queen heard this they went nuts and congratulated Angelina and told her Freddie would have loved her performance, too. Juan, it's okay to skip around because, already by now, you realize age is no longer a factor. So, if you decide to go back to when she first became famous go to her performances on Norway's Got Talent which she entered when she was 7 years old. She did turn 8 during the Show. Her audition was a song called 'Gloomy Sunday' made popular to the masses in the USA by Billie Holiday many years ago. The lyrics had to be slightly altered to make the song appropriate for Angelina to sing. So, you might ask, why did she sing the song? Because she loved Billie Holiday since she was a tot and loved this song that Billie sang. So, she wanted to sing it for her audition because it meant a lot to her. Yes, Juan, even at 7 years old her artistic qualities were far advanced to such a degree it seemed impossible to comprehend what in the world was going on!!!!!

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZbin went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a KZbin video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”. Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage. On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE. Angelina perform Concert at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA on Sept. 20th, 2024. On the same day she released her new orginal singiel in cooperation with Tobi Gad Bad Valentine. First, yes, those fine musicians had worked with her before, so knew, pretty much, what to expect. And, they call her, "The Boss." She collaborated with them to produce the arrangement and had a few last-minute changes, which she wrote down and handed to the band leader. The mug, given to her by her grandmother, was a picture of Screamin' Jay Hawkins, who wrote and sang this song in 1956. Some of the more extreme raspiness was never present in her future performances, as she was told it could destroy her unique voice. In her performance for AGT, The Champions, Simon knew perfectly well who she was and her capabilities. He, Disney, and others tried to sign her up after she won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 (not 7). That performance was lauded by many, including the band Queen, who gave her the copyright to that arrangement. It was a shame that Angelina got the Golden Buzzer for that performance because her major reason for being on the program was to introduce the American audience to her. But, the Golden Buzzer catapults you directly to the finals, which prevented Angelina from showing her amazing ability to sing in any genre. Your inability to speak coherently after her performance is not unusual. She has something that can't be named that reaches into your soul and grabs you.

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener. She is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talked with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Her version of “I put a spell on you” at 9 years old was her own arrangement based on the 1956 original by Screaming Jay Hawkins (that’s him on the candle she’s holding at the beginning), you also see her making last minute changes which she hands to the musical director. Angelina has worked with these musicians several times, they affectionately call her the boss. She always made her “wishes” known to them in a very respectful way. Her arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody impressed the remaining members of Queen so much they allowed her the rights to her version. Praise indeed! So not only did she have remarkably mature vocals from a very young age, she also understood how to change songs to make them her own at the same time paying respect to the original artist, the result was often better than the original! Angelina is 9 years old in this video. Angelina started singing when she was 1 1/2 years of age and there is video of her at that age sitting in a bed with a microphone in her hand singing Whitney Houston's "I will always love you ". You need to go back to when Angelina was 6 years old in the studio singing and recording a Tom Jones classic " I who have nothing " and work your way to current day. Angelina is 18 years old now and will be 19 years of age January 10th 2025.
