Hi Lynne. We met at your job and I just wanted to let you know I’ve subscribed to your channel and am watching. Love your tutorials and the bags! Your instruction is perfect, easy to follow, and now I want to try making one of your bags! Thank you for providing us with such wonderful projects! I would be very intimidated to try this on my own without your step by step guidance. This is awesome!

Love love love your channel I want to thank you so much for showing us this design, I am 64 and I have been sewing since I was 5 but I also am dyslexic and I do not read patterns either. I don't think I have ever read one I have many many patterns and I buy them mostly for the pattern pieces. I love this bag and can't wait to make one and you little Jojo is not a problem for me I have 3 little rescues I had one rescue that looks just like Jojo, he was the smartest dig we ever had. I had him 20 years he passed 3 years ago (my heart still hurts missing him) and now I have the others. Funny when they hear your little Jojo bark that think it is another dog and run to the door glass to look out and try to find her i laugh every time LOL Thanks again I have learned so so much, I just watch and write down the measurements and instructions in words I understand

Out of all of the purse videos on KZbin my sweet little mommy picked this one, THEN went on to kindly let me know that she really likes all of YOUR purses so guess who'll be busy making purses?? Lol. I've NEVER made a purse but have sewn for years and LOVE your instructions so I'm kind of confident I can do it.. I'm going to try anyway, you give all of the information we need so here's praying I can. :). Thank you for making these videos. I can't wait to give this to my Mommy!! I'm 56 and yes I still call her mommy. Lol.

I made this bag and it turned out beautiful. I did put short handles instead of the long strap. Mommy wanted it to be a handbag. Thank you so very much. I also made her a trifold wallet to match. My first time to make either and I can't thank you enough for how easy you made my first experience. I hope you are doing well Lynn!!

Lynn, I just found this video a short while ago and it was the polka dots that got me! I had only just recently made one bag...with a pattern, but thought I would give this one a try. I had a few problems with things being too thick in places, but I got it finished! Mine is a Minnie Mouse fabric with the red & white polka dot lining (a bit of confusion from that!). Thank you so much for taking the time to do a step-by-step video. It sure is appreciated!

To make the bottom even more rigid and sturdy so it will keep its shape, you can put a piece of plastic needlepoint canvas in between the lining and the outside.

Hi ma'am. Another beautiful bag and I have a question. I have the same sewing machine you showing on this video and I'm having a hard time with thick projects, I really don't like to use the walking foot and I tried to work with the tensions, bcus I also sew bags with the upholstery thread, could you please tell me what # did you used instead of the 4 and the top plus or minus. Thank you much and I enjoy all your tutorials..
@VickiLeeBagsbyLynne
@VickiLeeBagsbyLynne 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Mariana, I never use upholstery thread. It's trouble for me. Geez to give you a number on my tension? I rarely move it. It's dead on at 4. With this machine, I have never had problems with my bags, so I would recommend you go back to Normal thread, sew on scraps with thickness, and move your tension slightly till you got it back on track. Good Luck , Lynne

Hi Lynne, thanks again for a great video. I love the fan/purring noise in the background, it sounds so soothing. I wanted to ask you a question. What kind of thread do you use for your bags? Is it polyester or cotton? Thanks for sharing!

I'm having trouble with Pellon 808. Even after double washing my fabric in warm water and drying in a very warm dryer, the fleece causes the fabric to rumple after applying. I thought I was over pressing so I started using a timer, that didn't work. Then I tried turning my iron down to wool as I thought perhaps it was a 'hot running' iron. That didn't work. I'm using a damp press cloth over and a no stick sheet under. Any input?

Could you explain the zipper pull tabs again. They're 4x1 folded in half lengthwise with a seam. Where is the seam? Is the tab sandwiching the zipper or like in the makeup bag just laid on top seam towards the inside,not the edge. I made this bag about a year ago but am rusty.

I would like to make this before we leave for Vegas on the 22nd and I'm wondering if it would be possible to make a center divider on the inside? Can you help me figure out how this would be done? I'm sure the measurements for the inside of the bag would have to be altered I'm just not sure where or how much. I would also lake to make the handle 2" wide and just attach it direct without it being adjustable. HELP? I'm a beginner when it comes to these things LOL
