Hi Lily! Your food at your restaurant looks so yummy. You are a very good cook! One thing I will suggest is that you put an A-frame board outside in front of your restaurant advertising your delicious food. Most people don’t know what a Lilikoi is so they may be confused to the type of food that you serve there. With due respect, your restaurant looks too much like someone’s home than a restaurant. I would redesign it to have more of a restaurant vibe by adding more wood or showing more wood. What is most important is that passerby know exactly what kind of food you’re serving at Lilikoi. Just some recommendations based on my personal experiences. I want you to kill it and get a Michelin recommendation!!

Congratulations on your new restaurant innovations, it's a beautiful way to honor your mom, and love your family with natural and healthy foods. I make sauerkraut about once a month. You were on the right track with the laminated paper funnel, I finally found a wide-mouth silicone funnel, to get the beaten cabbage into the huge ball canning jar that I use. I make 5 lbs of cabbage at a time and use a glass weight at the top to keep the cabbage covered with the natural brine. In California I let it ferment 7-10 days. It has improved my digestion and gut health so much! I love sharing it with my friends and neighbors.

Your comment about your ears made me laugh so much, I have the same fear because my grandfather and dad had really huge ears when they got older, almost as big as their heads. Oh Lilly this is so exciting with getting rid of seed oils and sugar!!!! I can’t eat out here in East TN because we are avoiding all that too!! Even the clean eatz isn’t as clean as it could be. Pasture raised beef, eggs, butter and raw milk pasture raised full fat is what I’m doing also! I feel so much better and my mind is so alert and clear. ❤

What great stories about your restaurant in New Orleans . My husband and I fly there a couple times a year from south Florida just to eat especially the grilled oysters . We love everything! My mother was also an entrepreneur from a young age and was married at 18, 3 kids by 25 , she could do anything and did ! I got that spirit and drive from her too. I operated my own food truck in college and because she could cook she taught me and we did great! It actually paid for my tuition . . I never doubted myself I got that from my mom . I bought and sold 3 businesses. I couldn’t have done it without my mother, we were partners just like you and your mom . It never crossed my mind to not succeed . She was. my biggest cheerleader . This is why I understand how you feel missing her. They leave such an impact on us and we are so grateful. She will continue to cheer you on and will always be proud of you Lilly .

It sent chills through me in the beginning of this video at the resort where you go from present day to 3 years ago with your mother. I feel for you. It brings to light how much things can change and how the twists and turns in life take us places we never thought we would have to go. Your mother was a strong force and found success because of her tenacity. She had a lot of courage even in her final battle with her illness. I can see your mother in you. While many people are afraid to try things you just go ahead and make things happen. It is inspiring to watch and to learn from you. Thank you for sharing the story of Coquette. I often wondered how you got there and how you came away from there and started over. Many people watching these videos have had to start over at some point in their lives. Whether it be through loss of a partner or financial devastation or loss of another kind. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I lost my mom last year November 23 before Thanksgiving. I love that you are talking about the process food that is bad for us. And making the changes to your restaurant and your families meals. You can be voice in your restaurant and educate your customers and this. Process oil, sugar and a lot more that is killing us.
