Lily and Trio Receive a Surprise Visit from Neil (Natural therapies)

A couple of weeks ago, we were fortunate enough to have Neil visit the farm to give each and every dog a check over. Those that needed it, got treatment, Lily and her siblings included. Neil doesn’t usually do house visits and what a big effort from Neil to make the very long trip it takes to come to the farm for us. Thank you so very much Neil. This whole day was organised unbeknownst to us by followers and members of the farm; Chris and Renata. We are blown away by how generous and thoughtful a gift like this is to us. Helping us help the dogs means so much. And from such an experienced person like Neil, it is truly something special. Thank you.
We all know Lily's journey with her health conditions so she was the first one off the ranks today, followed by her little (or not so little) siblings Banjo, Matilda and Rosie.

The 'advantage' of a degenerative condition, is that the changes are slow and both owner and dog have time to adjust to the changes. If someone had told me, I would be carrying my (50k) dog, talking him for walks in a cart and expressing his bladder several times a day, I would have told them they were crazy. However as the changes are slow, we both adapted in increments. First there was some slipping and sliding, so put down non slip mats. Then a bit of trouble getting into the car or bed, no problems, buy a caravan step for the car and build a ramp for the bed. Then a few stumbles on the back steps, no problem, rip out the old steps and put in some that are longer and less steep. And so on. The best purchase ever was a helpemup harness, they are an absolute godsend and back saver. My boy Bob had DM and lived a very happy live until a few weeks short of his 14th birthday. Don't stress about the future days to come with Lily, you'll adapt to her changes. The thing they want the most from us is love and you guys have that in spades. ❤❤❤❤
