I know hair is personal preference but gosh, I hope "horizontal stripes" aren't the next big trend. It looks like a mistake! Like you highlighted your hair but the ends didn't take and your roots grew out massively! It's good that it's subtle though. But it doesn't look "natural" or "sunkissed" the way it did before with your dark roots and the gradual fade into lighter ends. That's the way hair naturally looks when it's sunbleached, after all, not a random ring round your head.

Horizontal stripes sounds like the most terrifying thing you want to run away from when it comes to hair dye, when she mentioned it I was just imagining grown out roots/scene kid hair but im glad the results were super subtle and not at all what I was imagining

As much as I love Hesters style, I think for a hairdresser her hair looks in really bad condition which isnt great when you go in as a client. I think the colour she used was nice and its an interesting technique but I don't know if it's anything I'd actually pay for. I think a mixture of light and dark does suit you when it's subtle though :)

Very interesting colouring technique. It did add a nice extra "highlight" to the hair (for lack of a better word). Loved the shopping spree. Amsterdam never ceases to surprise me with fun shops to visit, so I'm making sure to pay a visit to that street next time :)

Those shops look amazing! I personally don't like that hair colour technique I think it looks obvious with the stripes of colour. I think it looked much better before with the lighter ends and brightened up your face more. But hey if you're happy who am I to say anything...

I really expected your hair to be a "wow" the salon looked beautiful & the hair stylists seemed to be very knowledgeable but I didn't like the end result. The colour looked weird to me very washed out & there was a step of colour at the front. I love wella but your hair still looked dry at the end. Great vlog though Amsterdam looked great. I think, like some commenters here, the phrase "horizontal stripes" in hair colour makes me nervous...but they did a lovely job, and you really pull it off! The colour looks lovely on you.
