I‘m with Lee‘s wife there. The Beatles‘ songs are great, but they are great because of the time they were written in, because they pioneered stuff and innovated. Not that they’d be bad without the innovation and pioneering aspects, but they‘d be a lot more… average. However, it doesn‘t really make a lot of sense to talk about that, because what makes them average now is 50 years of music that was heavily influenced by what the Beatles were doing-without them, today‘s music wouldn‘t be what it is today. But if e.g. someone found a sheet of lyrics and music that the Beatles never released, and without telling anyone that that‘s where he got it from, recorded it today… I don‘t think many people would be that enthusiastic about it. Even if he was a top notch musician.

Can you guys not persuade Fender to give you access to placing orders from the Mod Shop options list (which is a direct ordering facility for the Fender US factory with lots of customisable options, especially colours, but only available for delivery to customers in North America at the moment 😢)? That would enable you to create your own FSR models based on the American Pro specs (but with some options for Performer or Original necks and pickups too) and would enable you to give a custom US Fender guitar order option for your customers without going the whole hog of a Custom Shop special order. If you could get this facility I’d be placing at least one Mod Shop order with you immediately!! 😃

Unfortunately, the Emerald Ash Borer is also affecting the baseball bat industry. Bats have historically been made from ash, but from what I've read, many of the fields where brands like Louisville Slugger harvest their timber from are being destroyed. Maple is now more popular, especially among pros, since it creates a harder hitting surface. But I imagine soon ash won't even be an option.

Okay, my dawgs: The "Yosemite" character you're thinking of is Yosemite Sam, a frequent foil to Bugs Bunny in Warner Brothers cartoons. Yogi Bear resides in "Jellystone" Park, which is a send-up of Yellowstone National Park, and his running buddy (not little brother, to the best of my knowledge) is named Boo-boo. You're really showing your age here -- not because you referred to these characters, but because you've FORGOTTEN them like old men!😄

@@TheAndypaul85 I've always loved how strats sound but never how they felt, Fenders in general. I have a preference in Gibson, Gretsch, PRS so I might not be the best person to comment. This is the first Fender I can say I love playing, and I do have a custom shop. As for the guitar, I think the neck is just amazing. One of the most comfortable necks I've felt, especially for a Fender. It's just so smooth and easy to move on. As for the tone (clean), it sounds even more like a start. The guitar is extra spanky and a bit brighter than a maple neck, at least to me. It sounds like a maple neck when you roll back tone to 9. But the neck is just amazing! The rest is a regular strat. I think if you already like Fender starts you will like it.

Your wife's Beatles comment is fair, but also non-sensical. If the Beatles songs hadn't come out then, the evolution of musical genres from then to now might have been taken a completely different route. Regardless, some form of the Beatles musical style seems inevitable - we had to fill that void in the genre spectrum at some point, and if we hadn't done so until now, it would likely be just as welcome now as it was back then, albeit with slightly different lyrics.

You know, I actually respectfully agree with Mrs. Anderton, Mr. Lee.... the Beatles for the time were legendary and something that hadn't been done before, and because of that, have become iconic to this day. But, with the current state of what is popular in music, I feel as if the Beatles would have found a niche audience, and that's pretty much it. Like, I don't think they would have had the appeal to such a wide audience of people. Or, they would have just become the next "boy band" with an incredibly loyal and fanatical fan base, but only to that group.... which, I guess, is what happened on a larger scale in the 60s....
