I am so, so sorry to hear of the loss of our beloved Cricket. I am a mom for 3 rescued kitties and feel your heart. May the memories you have of her bring you joy! And I love birds, so keep on painting them! Great respect to you for taking on these 3 colors! Good job!

Both Sennelier and Lukas has PY 153 as single pigment colors in their range; 578 Sennelier Yellow Light and 1060 Gamboge (Lukas 1862) 🙂 Love this series on limited pallets. When I first started my watercolor journey I wanted every color and ended up with a huge color selection, got totally overwhelmed by it all and almost gave up painting. Now I am using only 3-5 colors in my pallet and I have found the joy in painting again

I have to agree, I could watch you paint a dozen birds and not get tired of it. And these are such gorgeous little guys! You made a great choice. Also, I love red rose deep with cobalt teal. I was so excited when I „discovered“ that mix before I realized that’s just the pigments in Misty Morning lol. Still a lot of fun to use, and I love the purples you showed off here.

Hi Denise💟 I know losing Cricket is hard. The hardest, actually-I’m so sorry. Losing a pet is difficult. Sending several hugs. I love your limited palette series! So interesting that the cobalt turquoise’s strong granulation was not desirable…I love the added texture. Thank you for helping me to see your perspective!❤

Denise, I understand the grief of losing a member of your family. Our dog passed away 5 years ago and I still miss him a lot. I enjoy your watercolour paint series and have learnt so much. I do not like the cobalt paints as they are very light and make for streaky washes. I have heard that the Qor version of Cobalt Teal is not as granulating. I have found that it is the only cobalt paint that I don't have to fight with. All the best !!!

Hullo Denise, I am truly glad that you are getting some support from your Patreons and the prints and stickers of Cricket are a simply inspired tribute for her. I am not a bird painter, but I love seeing them done! I am wondering if you thought about going with the newer colors of Seaglass or Charlie O’Blue from DaVinci? They are quite similar to the cobalt turquoise that I see on my screen. I am truly glad that you are catching up with your videos and creating quality videos for all of your subscribers, thank you. Please take the time you need for yourself and stay healthy. I know that we all wish you only the very best. Stay safe and have a lovely day.😊

Hi there and thanks for your request! That's a beautiful triad, though this series is primarily focused on less traditional pairings/triads, and it's not brand specific. Dozens of combos have already been collected put forth to my Patrons, and I am prioritizing this most highly requested ones before adding new options. I hope you enjoy the videos to come!

I keep the DS version of PG50 in my arsenal because of that granulation pattern. If I want the color more consistent I have Qor, Roman Szmal (I think mine is a PB28 Cobalt Sea Blue), or Schmincke ... I'll try the M. Graham sometime. Your mixes looked really nice!

I found Da Vinci has a Cobalt turquoise that is PB28 (color very similar) but doesn’t have heavy granulation. Interesting how different brands can look & perform so differently.

THANK YOU! I bought one of the PG 36 cobalt teal or the like- and it looked horrible! I returned it and told the store something was wrong. Later I found out it was just extreme granulation. Perhaps Sennelier. I genuinely hated it and have been turned off to gran ever sense :( but the fad makes me feel like there's something wrong with me.
@InLiquidColor2 ай бұрын
It's okay to like what you like! I love granulation, but there's definitely a difference between nice granulation and paint that doesn't feel mulled properly/feels gritty. This was definitely a case of the latter!

And yet I don't see dark greens, non-granulating blues, intense blues, burnt oranges, yellow ochres, or cool yellows in there 🤔😉 Yes, this is the closest we'll come to a primary triad in this series, but it absolutely has its limitations. Happy painting :)

It's comments like this that have made me so anxious about the way I speak that it takes me an hour to record and 4-5 hours of editing for 10-15 minutes of usable audio, not to mention being mortified to speak without a script or live stream anymore🙃 P.S. Genuinely, for future interactions with content creators, It's fine to just stop at the compliment and not follow up with the backhand on your way out. I promise you, anyone you criticize is already thinking the same things in their head but louder and don't need other's to point it out their flaws. Thank you for your consideration, from an extremely anxious human.
