San Junipero is such a high bar it makes all others seem average. But in the wider context of TV Black Mirror is a different stratosphere. Lest we forget, Mrs Browns Boys exists.

@@dans5664 It's not dystopian, but I prefer Inside No.9 to Black Mirror. It's hit and miss as well, but imo the hit rate is better, and the writing is generally wittier and less ham-fisted. I don't agree with the other guy's critique of Black Mirror - the better ones are some of the best TV around. But there is an annoyingly high number of episodes that are just lame.

fucking creepiest thing i remember was from the first series where people had that thing where they can replay everything theyve seen. Theres a shot where the couple are having like passionate sex then in cuts and they're both just replying their honeymoon night in their head and they're actually just both noncomittaly rutting each other. It was the way the scene was cut and everything but i found it so fucking creepy.

That scene in limmy show when you went to the moon in a cardboard box with a few tweaks could easily be reconfigured into a black mirror episode. The box might be quantum entangled with another box that has been actually put on the moon. Then the box when closed over when inside would necessarily open it on the moon. So you go in the box and close it and then the box on the moon opens but a meteor then strikes the box and rips of its top side so it can’t ever close again. Thus your box can never open unless a moon visit ever can fixe the box. But no one is interested to do that and for a long time one person only knows you’re in there and skips you food but for his own reasons keeps it to himself. However you’re a genius and so you attempt giving instructions to the one person you can speak with and slowly over time you design a spacecraft of your own and go to the moon in a box. Your mate won’t come so it’s just you. So you must find a way to fix a box from inside of another one but can’t. You eventually have an idea and attempt to reunite the two quantumly entangled boxes into their original state of being in essence just one box. There is no way knowing how to ever do that even if you weren’t inside a box. So you think and think - in what m way did i ever see any true unison of two things that became one ? Love is the answer. How it may be useful to use it is not known but it’s all you’ve got. So you give all you’ve got to harness the power of love to engineer oversized quantum particles that are boxes into one box. And the ending part I suggest is yours to dream up. The episode can be called ‘living in a box’

I really liked the Scottish one and the Rasputin demon episode. As somebody who's watched from the start I genuinely didn't have high hopes for this season but those two alone made up for what I felt was an overall limp season that came before

The agenda isn't pushing it too much to ruin it but still, nothing special idea-, acting- or directing wise.
