I watched hamilton in hamburg. I'm german and have loved hamilton for years but my family refused to leave the country. I liturally jumped when a advertisement came on and my parents looked like I was crazy. It took me like two month to convice my parents to let me see it and me and my therapist teamed up on my parents. The highlight of the summer and the thing I really needed to get me out of a low moment. I grew up with this show knowing about it but not beeing abel to see it and now I feel like I can die happy.♡

A great interview! After falling in love with the original production of Hamilton and listening to the cast album over and over, I was very unsure about seeing the Australian production. Would the characters be similar? Would the actors' voices match my expectations? I'm so glad I went, though, as it was a great show, if not slightly different to the original. The lyric change from "John Adams doesn't have a real job" to "Vice President isn't a real job" was a clever touch, given that Australians have no clue who John Adams was.

The thing that I have noticed in this, and in the whole Hamilton musical recordings well as other performances m, is you can see in his eyes how proud he is and as well of just humbled by the fact of other people performing his work that he wrote. It was kind of funny having the Australian actor who plays Hamilton(sorry I forgot his name) mention how the character even though he is the namesake and “main” character of the show takes a backseat and reacts to everything around him and what the other characters are doing. I have always thought that this was a product of Lin wanting to showcase his friends talents and taking a backseat to let the other characters shine and show how badass the actors are that orginated them.
