@celtica99 The misogyny of middle aged male rock critics, mostly. Read Christgau's (huge influential) reviews, for instance: "everybody's sexpot" he calls her, as if being sexy and popular were ever a standing liabilty for male rockers. That is what she's been up against since the 70's. Is it any wonder she's been kept out of the club?
