Linda Ronstadt is a true musical genius and has nothing to be ashamed of she will always be the musical queen of all time and will never be replaced as long as time runs. Linda has given Hispanics a sense of pride with her singing old songs of the past with the intensity that they were written for by the original singer song writer meant to be performed . Way to go Linda.

Well I'm 2 years younger then Linda, but have always LOVE all of her songs. When she performed Mexican Songs, that's really made her # 1 in my book. My wife was Mexican & that made Linda, even more of the music I wanted to hear. So many memories for five decades in my life. And now if my late seventies, Linda is still my favorite Female Singer of My Life. Along with Neil Diamond, who started his career around the same time. In my late teens & beyond. B H

I'm 3 months older than Linda and dealing with my own health problems as well very similar to hers. I still remember attending her March of Dimes concert in Hartford CT that Danny Thomas funded, November 21, 1982.

I admire Linda R.’s bravery and speaking up on matters of the soul where it counts. I also love how she paid forward in helping other musicians achieve their success the same way others helped her to be noticed, supported and successful. ❤🙏🎸🎹🎻🥁🎺🌹

Fantastic! So well done! Thank you for sharing the life of somebody who was so important to me during my college years. I have several of her albums from the mid to late 70s.

Perhaps one of the best singers. One Christmas my father got so drunk and I remember he played one of the Ronstand's album the whole night through. The only album we had of her at home at the time. That night me and my younger brother memorized the lyrics from Blue Bayou... after listening to it while in bed for about no less than 10 times... until papa fell asleep drunk... he eventually quit drinking alcohol but my sibling and I still up to date sing that song together... after listening to it many many times that Christmas' night... (our father passed in 1995).

I was able to see her in Atlanta, GA. Many years ago. I was in my late 20's. I loved that night. I'll never forget it! I am 72 now. I was in heaven watching and listening. What a night!

I heard Different Drum when it came out & I was just 14 YO & knew immediately that Linda was a stand out singer who surely must become an international Star. But then I didn’t hear anything more of her … until she burst through with her solo albums in the 1970’s. I was thrilled for her success & versatility, able to sing across a range of genres. No wonder, given the diversity of her various influences from early on in her life. Still one of my favoured female singers 50 years on. Thank you Linda. 🎼

I admire people who speak up. More of us should do that. And it looks like she paid a price for that. Her voice is stellar. I'm going to buy her Mexican music. That's where I am moving to in a couple of weeks. The USA is no longer the place I grew up. Obviously, hate, white supremacy and such existed here, but it has now been unleashed and touted publicly, and is no longer shameful. No wonder children are gunning up the schools. Gun violence is now the #1 cause of death for children in the USA, but children can take an AK style rifle to school in a backpack. Insanity.

The greatest female singer of the 20th century. It is a mystery to me that nobody under 40 has ever heard of her. There are other great female singers (Patsy Cline, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin, Ann Wilson) but none of them had the vocal range she possessed or the ability to cross genres in the fashion she did. A shame that she has been silenced through no fault of her own. (Contrary to the video I think her greatest album is "Hasten Down the Wind")

Great Singer with a venom mouth politically. She did not care or understand that ALL PEOPLE are her Fans and buy her records. She became ultra Alt-Left and spoke out nonstop during her performances. Ultimately, she created such a bad stir and angered the people who came to see her in Las Vegas, The Hotel escorted her out of the place, canceled her forever from appearing, and became persona non grata in Vegas. Will always remember her songs, (but diminished because of who she became), and I will never forget how someone can trash her career.
