Great video Lindsay for threads for beginners choosing the right threads needed you notice on fly tying groups that they need thread that will be more suited to the flies they are tying 🐟🎣

This is perfect i have literally started fly tying today and i needed a more recent and british (i can mostly find people talking about this subject in America) explanation to threads. Thanks.

@@lindsayiflyfish Been watching your channel for a long time now, and I have lost my mojo from time to time, I can catch fish, I use simple flies, getting to the point that being out on the river is the real key to a pleasant day.

Such an interesting watch I’ve only been tying 20years and still learning, and you taught me a trick or two there , fantastic, Explaining hooks and gapes may be a good one to explain too

Thanks Lindsay, good video. Especially liked the tip on using white thread and then colouring the head to suit. Cheers

Nothing more frustrating than getting to the head of a perfectly acceptable fly , you're just about to whip finish and snap!!! Very useful video, thanks. Tight lines 🎣

Lindsay - great video. Interested in the thread spool holder carousel in the video. Purchased or DIY?

I know we aught to know better. Lol. Oh don’t we wish nano silks and other modern threads were available soo much earlier. Just as with many other items and materials such as hi density foam, uv resin have made our hobby so much easier.
@lindsayiflyfishАй бұрын
Modern materials has certainly opened up a whole new aspect to fly tying.

@@lindsayiflyfish Huh. I've tried it 5 times and each time is cuts out right at 7:42 when you switch from the fly to you on the screen. No big deal! 😏😏
