Born in ‘84, and if you see my message above, I totally rocked my socks off with this song. I used to pretend I was playing the guitar intervals on a fake plastic red electric guitar with my 80’s shades. It’s a great song. I don’t know why, but I’ve always been drawn to the chorus. It was just so awesome.

I am huge fan of LB, and especially this album. I have to wonder if "Out of the Cradle" was not the catalyst that put a wedge between FM and Lindsey. When most band members take on solo projects it is generally removed from what gives the band their unique sound, but LB made this album with a great similarity to the FM sound, and probably as good, if not better, than anything FM had ever done. Then Lindsey does it again with his last release, and collaborates with Christine. I have a feeling that was the last straw, and the cause of the separation. Fleetwood Mac's loss.
@robertreichle16 жыл бұрын
I figured it was just Stevie wanting to make room for Mike Campbell after Tom Petty passed away. Bring in a buddy and give him a musical outlet again. The timing works pretty well for her to have stewed over it for a while, looking for the right opportunity to move Lindsey out of the way.
@timfitzpatrick37246 жыл бұрын
Lindsay was , no question, the brain writer behind FM...they made a HUGE mistake getting rid of him it appears..but we will never know the truth.
@spdodger6 жыл бұрын
Out of the Cradle was released about 5 years after Lindsey voluntarily left the band--the album wasn't the wedge. Having said that, this song is about Mick Fleetwood being a money-grubbing asshole so... As for the Buckingham/McVie album the entire band played on it--sans Stevie--so that wouldn't have caused the separation. The evidence is pointing to Stevie giving the other band members an ultimatum: He goes or I go.
@GRACIE3426 жыл бұрын
Ya, you know Stevie blew a gasket when she heard that album with Christine!!!! Wishing they would have kissed her butt more to get her on it. I mean she was counting on Lindsey putting out Buckinham Nicks again with her and then he had this beautiful, brilliant work with Christine....I believe Stevie is still stewing about it and besides her being jelouse of Lindsey moving on and having a beautiful family. Mick on other hand is just a creep and out for money anyway he can get it. Iv lost respect for both of them, big-time! Lindsey has had total integrity through it all. I HATE it for him. But he ROCKS on his own and is more FM now than they are! ❤
@rajanderphilip95315 жыл бұрын
It might've been the Buckingham/McVie collaboration that caused the split. A really good album - an FM album, only "Stevie's done with making records, etc., etc." so only four of them. Oh well. My ears loved it.

I am! I feel like I’ve just discovered him and I’ve been around since the beginning of FM. I’m so much more appreciative of his guitar playing now than ever. FM is nothing without him. Stevie can’t even play that stupid tambourine correctly and, although I do love her voice, she’s never had that pure sound like Christine. Stevie is better at ballads while Christine can sing anything, without that annoying voice fry.
