Thank you ALL for your brave and heroic efforts, every day this fire has been on effect! God Bless You all! I don't even live there, but it's one of my favorite places to be! Hope you get some rest soon! 🙏🤗

A controlled burn was done just to the west of Angelus Oaks a few months before the Line fire. It appears they are back burning into the main fire line, I had ridden most of the areas weeks before the fire on my motorcycle and watched the controlled burn a few months ago

People choose to live in the woods to get away from the crowds.but they don't realize that fires explodes around them hitting dry brush.THANK YOU SO MUCH CAL FIRE AIR CREWS AND GROUND CREWS AND THE ALL THE OTHER FIRE CREWS FIGHTING THE LINE FIRE!!!
@sw8741Ай бұрын
Anyone who lives in the woods should know fire is 100% part of a forest. They shouldn't be naïve to the risk of losing everything is always there. Its unfortunate this one was started by an A Hole but its the same as if it was started by lightning, its part of the forest ecosystem.

It’s a national forest bro there’s preventative maintenance that can be done to help in case of fires.
@noydb3453Ай бұрын
True. However, the state government should be using a portion of the taxpayers' money to actually have the necessary PREVENTATIVE work done, so that when lightning occurs or Arsons decide they need some excitement, others don't pay for it twice (taxes and insurance). I could think of a couple better reasons to hear helicopters flying overhead until 10 pm (or later).
@sw8741Ай бұрын
@@noydb3453 Its an old long story. Lets put it this way. Since the early 1970's the USFS and the State adopted the hippy's "hey man, leave the forest alone! Don't touch it, let nature do its thing man" and they adopted policies to do just that. They wouldn't allow anyone to cut down trees, even on private property it was near impossible to get a permit. They stopped slash and burn crews from clearing the forests floor of dead wood/debris. Guess what, too many trees grew. Healthy forest 20-30 trees per acre, unhealthy 100+ trees per acre. Too many trees competing for limited water = weak diseased trees. No clearing the forest floor = huge amounts of fuel ready to burn. That is the forest today because they took a "let nature take its course man!" approach. So if they want to do anything it should be selective harvesting and start up the slash and burn crews again along with controlled burns. Then fires won't be so out of control

How does putting a little more fire stop from the fires getting bigger, I just don't get it.
@carlosmarroquin8601Ай бұрын
What they do is set fire to small bushes and dry plants where the fire will arrive at any moment. They do it in areas where they know it will not damage property or people. When the larger fire reaches where they have already burned, it will not be able to expand because there will be nothing more to burn. It is a process that requires observation, calculation, and paying attention to where the wind blows. The point is to burn small areas so that the fire that is coming can not jump to other larger areas and expand.

Dear @ONSCENE TV - Please do not put the events of the past, in present-tense. This occurred Oct 1st. (But, that's in fine-print, in the description.) The result: This caused a bit of a panic. People came into my stream, asking "is it true!? Angelus Oaks is really in danger? Are we being lied-to by officials!?" I then, had to show the cameras, just how calm things are now, just how much progress was made. Yes, you put it in the description. However: Only about 5-9% of viewers of a video ever read the description of YT videos. Most rural-living fire victims are over the age of 60, and barely understand the YT app. Pease consider the psychological consequences of such a headline, to a traumatized populace. I hope you consider revising your policy. TY

No. It's a bad time to start back fires. Go put out the raging fire first. Bulldoze the dry brush and set up a fireline. I also noticed that they're spraying the water up above the fire instead of at It's source, which is on the ground 😳 🤔
