how many types of des are in french?
@ccchhhristarrr Жыл бұрын
Hi Alicia, I dont really understnad when to use des. It is not needed in english (as you said) so its hard to understand, and all examples i can think about (for plural) it seems it should be with les instead of des...? Could you please give me some examples for des, and why not it would be used with les. Many thanks!!! :D
@lingoniFRENCH Жыл бұрын
if you use "les" you are talking about something definite and precise: les fleurs qui sont sur la table sont rouges. : very precise. Elle veut des fleurs pour son anniversaire : she wants flowers ( not THE flowers)for her bday. more indefinite/generic. Does that make more sense..?

Bonjour Alicia, C'était une leçon parfait comme toujours.Mais J'ai une question. You Said That In General We Can Say For Example "Le Chein Est Le Meilleur Ami D'Homme" In This Case Can We Also Use It In Plural But In General,Not For The Special Dogs,Cats Etc?? For Example We Can Say “Le Chat Est Très Mignon” but Can we also say “Les Chats Sont Très Mignons” I mean that the all cats around the world, not specially chosen, I hope I was clear in Explaining, I hope You Will see And Answer. 🌸Merci Beaucoup Madame🌸

Hi Aykhan Jarullazada, Thank you for your question! You are absolutely right: you can use the plural to talk about something in general. -> (Les chats sont très mignons !!) In the case of the sentence "Le chien est le meilleur ami de l'homme" it's almost a fix expression because this sentence comes from a quote by Paul Carvel.

Mme Alicia (je ne sais pas comment s’adresse-t-on à une professeure), pourquoi on ne dit pas “j’adore des animaux” au lieu de “j’adore les animaux”? Je pense que c’est un sentiment général (avec indefinit) tandis que “j’ai des animaux” devrait donner un sentiment plus personnel, donc “j’ai les animaux” Pourriez-vous m’aider, s’il vous plaît? (À propos, vous êtes une très bonne professeure et vos vidéos m’aident énormément)

Can you help me how to remove the subtitle. Is it possible because it it is annoying.

You are so funny (haha that is)when explaining…I love it when sometimes you get confuse and immediately correct yourself I teach English and I know how complicated idioms can be; It’s not that one don’t understand it! it’s very hard sometimes times to be eloquent enough to explain it good! there is so much to go about. I stumble and fumble frequently and that’s why preparation is such an important part of class! I think I’ll copy your strategy I like it!😃 you are an excellent teacher!🤍
