@snubbies1111 If by fail you mean fail to assassinate and die, then no. Geisha's can never die while they are on a mission. They can only die if another ninja goes after her or if two geisha perform a mutual kill.

Its an iron-fan, a real weapon used by Chinese and Japanese nobles for self defence. The spokes of the fan are made from metal and extended into sharp points. You probably couldn't throw it, but you could stab, slash and clobber people with it

even buddhist emmissaries were taught how to use a blade and protect themselves. Also, the ninja would not be able to conceal a large sword like a dai-katana and would have to use a smaller blade. the emissary tho, could carry a normal blade with a longer reach.

Smoothbore muskets are alot more accurate than people think, even with paper cartridges. They are accurate out to 80 yards usually.
