You've got to have a Citadel in a province, and you have to have a tranquil garden, legendary tea house and an infamous ninja house. Then you build the Geisha house, which replaces the ninja house. It will train Geisha and Ninja of Level 2 honor.

Well sort of, You need to have a tranquil garden, a legendary tea house, and an infamous ninja house in a province. Once you have that, the geisha house should appear in the buildings menu. They train geishas and ninjas of legendary quality.

As you can see in the last video, a Geisha could kill an opposiing Geisha, but both would be killed. This is a certain way to kill a Geisha, but you would lose your own Geisha in the process. With Ninja, there is always a chance for failure.

Yes that occasionally happens. Its especially annoying when its your own. They are expensive and hard to train... but geishas are still very powerful. Always succeed and though your enemy can see it it is not a decleration of war, great way to inherit land... Im Evil ^_^

Also, this isn't all of them. I'm playing the Warlord edition myself and when you kill a Daimyo, it shows the geisha and the daimyo sitting in the same room, the geisha pulls a needle out of her hair, throws it at the daimyo, and it shows the daimyo's perspective as he falls over while looking at the geisha.

Awesome. I love sending in Geishas to do my dirty work in S:TW. I've never seen the 2 geishas double-kill video before though. My enemies never had geisha to attack so I never tried it. I didn't know it results in them both dying but I guess that makes sense.

I think you missed one... the clip where the Geisha throws one of her hair pins at the Daimyo. Always fun to watch the videos though, although I've never seen the one in the field (poisoned tea) shown in-game; it's always the clip where she plays the shamisen.

@zooloo129, you need to upgrade the Ninja House all the way, have a Citadel, and (I think) upgrade the Tranquil Garden all the way. It MIGHT just be the Famous garden, idk. And I'm unsure about the Tea House. I'd just upgrade anything that gives you agents.

@CMDRFandragon Remember, this was the early days of the Total War Franchise, so the damned thing was broken as all hell in hindsight. Geishas could technically'fail' but it just equated to a text screen appearing saying "Your geisha could not get close to the target." and then you could just keep trying until you succeed or a ninja gets a lucky shot at her.

Yeah but its pretty hard to navigate and what really angers me is that you dont have constant vigil over a providence if its to big. If you want to monitor whats happening you gotta go out build a watch tower, but then a rebel comes and takes it so youve gotta go get it back so you do, and then repeat the last 2 tasks. And the adition of Navies is very interesting but hopefully you will actually be able to command them in Kingdoms.

@link670 they didn't offer Gun to convert. they sold Guns for money. many Missionaries were there to convert NOT sell weapons. the dutch offered Guns to Daimyo & to many of the shoguns

They were mostly used for entertainment, maintaining the lord and for political affairs (since they were educated enough to actually carry out political missions). However, they could be used to assassinate opposing rulers, since they had skills in some martial arts (though not as much as ninjas), and no one would suspect them. Some exist today, but they are very few in number.

I wouldnt mind, as long as they keep the basic gameplay of the campaign and battles the same, being able to move from one region to the other in one season makes sense as japan is much smaller then europe, and I really liked the figurine system of command as it made you really feel like an ancient warlord rather then some odd entity in the sky who all obey. Also NO HINT SYSTEM! "Do you want me to explain how to attack units for the 15th time?" NO!
